Starting 8/18--Roll Call For Ap Rates To CRO!!

Ok we are all on the edge of our seats waiting for these AP DISCOUNTS!!! Lets start listing our calls and their replies starting tomorrow morning! Hopefully, this thread is one of the shortest ever ran! By that I mean the rates come out this week!! Hope to hear from you in the morning!!

I called yesterday and talked this awesome CM. He read me a email he sent to management about the ap rates coming out. He told them that they were getting ALOT of calls and wanted to know what was going on so they would know what to tell us. The CM's are just as out of the loop as we are. He also said that he mentioned in his email about the fact that FL resident rates came out and ap rates always have followed in the next week or so and that too much time had passed for not releasing aps yet. He wanted to know what they need to be telling us when we call, either they are or not releasing ap rates.

Well he read me his reply which was they will be letting the CM's know soon weither or not ap rates will be out so they can pass along the info to us callers.

So hopefully we will be hearing one way or the other if they are going to be offering ap rates or not very soon. I think the CM's are just as flustered about this as we are and they hate being in the dark too. He did also say that they rates will show up in the system a few days prior to being officially released so they know they are coming out.

Way back in July I had a CM tell me they show up as pending as much as 48 hours before they can be used. She also said sometimes the CM's don't know they are there if they had the day off when they went pending and if they check and see pending they don't know if it just happened or if it happened on their day off..which is why they don't say anything..I of course told her to me pending is better then no information.
I really hope that if and when AP discounts are released they do it thru Dec. I think to release Aug 24-Oct 1 at this late of a date is stupid...had better words but.
If it is only the five week timeframe released then I'm still waiting. I'm going Oct 23..I was so postive back in the end of July that the wait was over..boy was I wrong.

Heres to hopeing the next few days bring great news and relief to many.

I just called at 8:35 am and spoke to a very unpersonable (sp?) and unhelpful CM. I asked her about ap rates possible for Nov and she said that it may be possible for no rates to be available for my dates . Ah well, I'm still hoping!

I wonder what a massive mailing of emails requesting AP RATES would do! I know not guaranteed! I have a Comeback Rate For courtyard view at WL from last Dec., but last Dec. rate was better than Comeback Rate!! BUMP!

Waiting here also. We have the Ap's and my friend is a fl resident. We need a place to stay hopefully onsite for 3 nights after our stay at OKW in Oct. Not to mention our dates for Dec.

I posted this on another thread.

When I made our reservations for Thanksgiving at the WL the CM reminded me to call back WHEN the discounts come out. I later made ressies for my mom and then later for my MIL. Same thing. I was reminded to call back WHEN the discounts come out. I didn't ask about any discounts . This info was offered to me. This was 3 different calls and three different CM's. Seeing as I was reminded three times to call back WHEN discounts come out, would I be wrong to expect some kind of discount? Okay, so we are on here all the time, so we know better, but someone who doesn't know would expect a discount. I'm not expecting a discount for this trip, but I will not make another reservation until discounts come out because I TRULY BELIEVE that their rates are too high. I have never paid rack rates anywhere. There are so many good deals to be had (in Orlando) right now... at very nice places, I might add.

I just got off the phone with a lady in guest services who suggested I send them an e-mail or snail mail. I send the e-mail to the address she gave me and it came back not delivered. It said WDW is upgrading their system and it wouldn't go through. I was nice to her, but I just think she wanted to get me off the phone. She said, I wasn't the first person to call about the room only snub.

She gave me very little hope for room only or AP rates. She told me, WDW is going in another direction trying to get new customers. She said something like 80% of the people that go to WDW come back. I must know several of the 20%. Who knows, the room only(AP) may come out yet, but I feel a lot less sure of it, after hearing her.

She said write and let the powers to be know my feelings, so I'll send the letter by snail mail,since the e-mail didn't work. She said guest communications is the department to write to:

If you feel like we are being short changed, why not write a letter, it may help.

I too, have called CRO or whoever they are today, and I always get the same reply - The CM's have no idea. Be sure to check Mary's site at Mousesavers.com
Mary seems to know about discounts before most of the CM's do.There's something there about discounted packages coming out tomorrow. Let's cross our fingers for AP rates too!!!!

Here we are again waiting to take the leftovers!! If any rooms are left after all packages are done, I imagine there will be AP rates!! What are they trying to do to their patrons who return time after time! I called at 7:28, no discounts!!

the AP codes are coming, since they were loaded in and then removed a couple of weeks ago. She did state that this was just her opinion, so who can really tell. I called regarding the Winter Dream Maker package for my dates at the Poly Nov 15-25. They were not available and I was told not even offered for concierge level, Contemporary was also not available for those dates. The fact that my dates were unavailable for this package makes me feel like I may still be out of luck even if the AP rates are released. She was able to offer me the Sugarloaf at GF with the package offer: 3 adults, 1 child 10 nights $5046.71-I don't think so

That vacation home idea is looking better all the time!

I f they hadnt already released then withdrew them I would have given up by now. I am guessing something will be released either tommorrow or Friday if at all.

LoL, the money I would save on the AP discount would go straight back into Disneys pocket anyhow through the extra dining ressies I could book with the money saved
