I started packing last ngiht and its so tough!

I'm fine with whast to take into the park, but the weather for Sun-Wed is different on every website, so clothes wise I have no idea......I'm thinking dress for summer (got jeans for the evening) and then I'll buy a poncho.

Into the park I'm taking:

Sunscreen
Plasters!
Painkillers
Gaviscon Liquid Sachets (I get awful IBS)
My pins for trading.
Money
Camera

Any essentials I'm missing?

Also, with pins - has anyone had any trouble with them at Eurostar security - I'm going from St Pancras...

no probs with Eurostar re: pins...

how about taking a bottle of water with you in the park? we buy ours in the shop at the station as they're cheaper and load the buggy :)

Hee! Thanks everyone!!

I am going to try and hunt down a disney themed water bottle when i go shopping tomorrow.....

i packed yesterday im not goin for another 4 weeks only booked 3 days ago :) this is too exciting x

My word!!! I haven't even thought about packing yet and I go on Sunday :faint: I guess I should be getting a move on,, trouble is I have to wait until DD6 is out of the way as she doesn't know we are going yet

WOW that is a surprise probably the best one ever your daughter is a very lucky little girl :)

She has been asking to go for ages now and I have kept telling her that we can't afford it this year  Its been really hard not telling her, but I think it will be worth it when i see the look on her face :flower1:

We kept it a secret from our 7yr old daughter when we had booked for just her and myself to go in Feb.

Had to be out of the house at 5.30AM for early flight, so when we went to wake her up, she didn't believe us. She got a right strop on, saying that it's not nice playing tricks on her, and tried to go back to sleep :lmao:

It took a good 5 mins to convince her that, the bags were packed and we were telling her the truth!!

Obviously, once she realised, she was jumping round, asking if I'd packed this and that. She was so excited. I'd definately keep it a secret again.

Things we do for our kids hey :rolleyes1

Life is easier if you've got somewhere else you often go at this time of the year.

When we went to Florida about 10 years ago, I was consistently told we were going to Cyprus until then night before when I was given some US$. First thing I thought? I'll need to change these for Cyprus £ tomorrow :lmao:

Its just me and DD6 on this trip too! My DD16 is in New Zealand at the minute visiting her BF's family and my DD18 just doesn't want to do Disney, which really has what has made it possible for us to go,, only me to pay for since she goes free :thumbsup2
We only fly out at 7pm on Sunday, but I'm not going to tell her until the very last minute, my brother is taking me to the airport and I have arranged to put my baggage in his car on Saturday night whilst she is in bed.

She was a bit upset today because she feels a bit on her own with her sister being away and none of her friends wanted to play, I was sooo tempted to tell her to cheer her up, but I held out and told her that we may go for a ride on Sunday and possibly have a picnic just me and her and she was happy with that. I'm wondering if we can get all the way to DLP before she 'clicks' I can't wait :goodvibes:

Thankyou! I'm sure we will! Its getting harder and harder not to let her know, her friend came round to play today and my DD6 asked me in front of her if she come come to the picnic on sunday with us arrgghh
I just had to do the famous mother saying 'we'll see'

Still haven't packed yet :rotfl:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hope it all goes well :goodvibes have a magical holiday!! :wizard: :wizard:
Thanks Elaine!
Well its 1.25am, still not finished packing!:scared1: just sat down to have a little break from cleaning the house. (anyone else feel like they have to obsessively clean before they go away :confused3 )
DD6 still doesn't know we are going tomorrow :woohoo: Got some snacks for the plane today and she thinks they are for the picnic aw.

Got to go and finish the packing now so that I can stow the bags away before she wakes up, can't believe its only a day away, will try to get a photo of the moment she realises where are headed and post it when we get back :thumbsup2

Awwww that sounds so fun and exciting!! Can't wait to hear how it went and what her reaction was. I bet its so magical. Must be really hard to keep something like that a secret lol.
