It's been a long time since I last posted on this thread. I'm sure nobody really remembers me. But I am going to give you an update of what happened during our year with the Annual Pass.
Well, for starters, I made 4 trips and my family made 3 trips.
Trip 1 - June 2013 6 nights - traveled with friends - Group of 13. Stayed at AKL Kidani in a 2 bedroom with 9 and the other 4 stayed in AKL Jambo in a standard room. This vacation was filled to the brim with non-stop action. They wanted a once in a lifetime trip so we accomplished as much as possible.
Trip 2 - September 2013 - 3 nights - Friday thru Monday - Traveled with a girlfriend to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Stayed at OKW in a studio. Great weather, low crowds, we did a lot with those two park days. She loved it and got to meet Mickey Mouse several times. I finally got to pick my pearl which I had set in a charm. I bought a silver chain for it and love to wear my souvenir.
Trip 3 - December 2013 - 3 nights - Thursday thru Sunday - Traveled with my family of 4. Stayed at Saratoga Springs in a studio. 1st trip with FastPass Plus. Our goal was to do some new stuff on this trip. And we did just that. We explored the Boardwalk, rode new rides, saw new shows. It was the end of Pop Warner football, so there was some crowds but it wasn't bad.
Trip 4 - June 2014 - Family of 4 - 5 nights at WDW at Boardwalk Villas in a studio - Thursday thru Monday. Then drove to Vero Beach and spent Tues and Wed night in an Ocean View room in the main building. This was our first trip with a rental car. We loved the location and having a car was great! This was a very relaxing trip. We had the standard dining plan and reservations to meet up with two sets of friends. It rained the first few days but that didn't stop up. Guess who one of the sets of friends was? Remember the family of 5 that we vacationed together in summer of 2013. Well, they loved it so much that they booked and planned their own trip for 2014. It was just their immediate family this time. It was a conincidence that our dates were similar. Of course, we were trying to get the last use of our annual pass. They flew in on Saturday evening, and we all went to Disney Quest together that night. On Sunday evening we met up for dinner at 50s Prime Time. We met up with S's Mom and her family on Saturday for lunch at Splitsville. It was nice seeing familiar faces while on vacation.
So when will go again...I'm going to say 2016. I'm going to say that we will do a week long stay that year at WDW. I really would love to stay at the Polynesian and of course back to the Epcot area resorts with perhaps a Beach Club stay. That's a long way off though.
