start packing?

I'm constantly amazed at the number of Dis-ers who pack sometimes weeks ahead of time. I admire that, but I don't have that many clothes! I would start throwing things in the bag the weekend prior, but most of the packing would be within 48 hours of the trip. I do not like to be running around the day of the flight trying to get everything together. :earsboy:

we are leaving Thursday morning (the 22nd) when would you start to pack?

I'm leaving on Friday the 23rd and I actually took the suitcases out today but probably won't pack clothes until next week. The problem with packing earlier is that we are still wearing all our shorts and summer clothes.

I did start "piling" some other items we will nedd like sunscreen, etc.

It's getting close! :flower:

I'm one of those that pack a month in advance, but then I ended up going thru it again, so I'd recommend start Sunday and finish up by Tuesday.
Have a great time, we just got back from the cruise last Sunday. :earboy2:

We aren't leaving until Sept 30.
I know what clothing we are taking.
I have everything besides clothing packed already. I'm an early planner/packer.
The day before our trip I'll pack my clothing. DH will put the luggage in the trunk the night before we head to the airport.

I leave on Tuesday the 20th and I still have not starting packing lol. I did bring my suitcase up to my room and started laundry today. I planned on starting today, but nope lol. I will end up packing Monday night. That is the way it always works with me lol.

We actually pack the night before we leave. That way I don't stress out and unpack and pack again and unpack and... :rotfl:

I always start packing very far in advance, so I would have been packed and ready by now! But I guess a few days before you leave is more reasonable!

Morning of the 22...I would have had my packing list by now and on the weekend purchase anything I need and don't have yet. If I was leaving in the morning, I would do all packing on 20 and complete on the 21. It takes me about 3 hours to pack for me and my 8 yr old son.

Have a great trip! (envy, envy!)

Some of us NEVER totally unpacks I refill the tolietries when I get back so they always ready to go. DD got some undies she didn't like and while they not what I'd normally wear I do wear them at disney. Got socks I only wear at disney and 2 pairs of old comfy shoes as well. My disgreen flip flops for the pool stays packed. Rain gear stays packed.

DD and DH both claims their undies is worn out long before they actually are so got theirs packed ready to go all the time as well. Same with their shoes and socks.

That little stuff being ready to go really cuts down on the time it takes to pack. So our undies might be a little wrinkled no one gonna know lol

Rule I use for actually packing is with in 3 days of leaving home don't wear NOTHING you want packed. Then I do laundry again right before leaving home and we have those clothes clean for when we return which means I might not wear my favorite clothes for a couple of days before leaving home.
