Start of trip or middle?

We are planning on going to WDW and US/IOA for the kids' fall break. Along with the rest of the US and half of Brazil. I digress. Anyway, we are looking to fly in the Wednesday before Columbus Day (day will be mostly lost to travel) and likely flying out the Saturday after Columbus Day or possibly Sunday. Eying 3 days at US/IOA because DD (and DH and I) are huge HP fans and Simpson fans. The kids also really enjoy WDW and loved DLR. I originally was thinking WDW first for 3 days (Th, Fri, Sat), then moving Sat to HRH and moving back to WDW on Tuesday pm as the crowd calendars indicate that the Disney parks on Th (Epcot), Fri (MK), Sat (AK) wouldn't be horrible and while Sunday is bad, Monday and Tuesday aren't anticipated to be bad for US/IOA but bad for most WDW parks. After further investigation, looks like I might just be dealing with high crowds wherever I am. So now I'm beginning to wonder if we should just start at US/IOA and move to WDW on Saturday afternoon. We're still looking at 3 hotels regardless as I'm working in a free Hilton stay plus a WDW resort. I don't want to end with US/IOA because I want to leave us the option of going back to US/IOA if the family chooses to do so (and leaving room in our WDW tickets to do so or extend the tickets for another day).

So would you start with US/IOA or plop it in the middle? Thanks!

I would do Universal when the WDW crowds are the highest. Crowds won't seem bad at all when you have express at Universal.
