Start menu

My daughter made the start menu fatter.Any idea how to get it back to normal.

it might be the same for all windows, not sure..right click on your desktop (middle of the screen or so), go to properties..then go to appearance..and check the font size..you can make it smaller or larger from there

Just drag it down, move the mouse just to the top of a toolbar and you should get a double arrow. Left mouse click and drag down. If you don't get an arrow, right mouse click on the bar and see if the toolbar is locked. Unlock if necessary and try again.

I just did this on purpose, but on a different computer. It was Windows XP, if that makes a difference.

I think what I did was:
START
SETTINGS
CONTROL PANEL
DISPLAY
APPEARANCES
ADVANCED
There's a scroll-down menu. Scroll down until you reach MENU.
From there, you should be able to choose a lower number to make the menu thinner.
Then I think you click OK.
Then it takes you back to the previous window, where you have to click APPLY.
You can exit out of each window after that.
