I was looking at a mag cover while in line at the graocery store and it had a picture of Julia Roberts without make-up :earseek:

I am thinking I am going to start collecting all these pictures and make a scrapbook so when DH says some STUPID comment about one of them being HOT I can show him a picture of them without make-up :rotfl:

SO who have you seen a picture of without Make up and thought :earseek:

(LOL - I remember Kelly Rippa saying she looked like Peter Pan when she didn't wear make-up - :rotfl: :confused3 )

links, we need lots of links!!!! I need to see these this morning because I know I am having a bad day!

Jessica Simpson isn't as pretty without makeup. Same for Kelly Ripa. Kelly has a lot of lines around her eyes/forehead that makeup covers I think.

I loved when Jamie Leigh Curtis did that photo shoot that showed her tummy pooch and no make up. She looked so REAL.

:rotfl: OK - I did a quick google search and found thses:

I feel better already.... :rotfl:

I have always read People magazine, so obviously am interested in stars' lives. I hate when they take pictures that are so blurry and obviously taken with a huge telephoto lens because I really feel that it is not respecting their privacy.

That said, I SO LOVE these photos! When I was younger, people used to say I looked like Goldie Hawn and then when I would see pictures of her all glammed up, I would think how is it that I now look older than her? I like my 3 dd's to see them, too, because it reinforces that they are just regular people too.

I think if you get uber close to anyone's face they are going to look like poo. Everyone has pores and most people of a certain age have some lines. That being said...there was this one picture of Catherine Zeta Jones at a golf tournament...good golly it was bad. I'll try and find it.

I like these pictures because it shows that these women aren't super gorgeous or anything. They just have the best make-up artists, lighting, and photo touch-ups!

[Of course, it also means that I have a huge envy thing going on... - I'm working on it!]

It seems that an airbrush is a celebs best friend....ooohhhh what High Def T.V. is gonng do for live broadcasts! On a nicer note....I like to think that most celebs wish they were known for their talent more than their looks and that they were not judged by their appearance any more than the rest of the world, but that is what society has created since day one, so they have to deal with it. You can bet a nice portion of their outrageous incomes goes to "maintenence"
and if I had the ability to transform like they do, heck yeah, I'd partake occaisionally...wish I could manage it for DH's Christmas party at work this year! Then again, maybe they "job" needs to see how exhausted the wives/husbands are due to being single parents since their spouses are never home.....but that's another thread.

When DH says something about How I use to look or what others look like
(don't worry - no marriage problems - we are just blatently honest with eachother all the time!)
I remind him about how expensive that look is too keep -
and threaten to hit him were it would really hurt him - his wallet -
my seact quote -
"I can go High Maintenance - hand me your wallet"
then all of a sudden I am beautiful without all the fuss :teeth:

I remember reading an interview with Cindy Crawford in which she said she felt bad that women compare themselves to her. She freely admitted that she wouldn't look the way she does without the help of a personal trainer, hair and makeup artists, stylists, etc. She went on to say that "not even I look like Cindy Crawford when I wake up in the morning!" :teeth:

I thought that was great and give her a lot of credit for acknowledging how it can affect some women's self-esteem when they compare themselves to models and movie stars. No one can compare to these images in real life, not even the models themselves!

Tyra Banks took off her make-up on her show one day...to illustrate how different even she looks....

Today she showed a woman the trick to having a space between your upper legs in a bathing suit picture (she showed a cover of herself on SI or some magazine) She says her legs touch at the top and to look like there is a space she stands with her feet toed inand spread out, and knees together and bent ...whala a space shows.....the pic just has to be cropped from the knees up.... :rotfl:

Cybill Shepherd went on a British morning talk show without makeup, and this was the result:
