Pop-up. We're looking for a new-to-us used one. We have a Coleman Sequoia (1990) right now. I want a potty, king/king or king/queen and a dinette slide out. We want to take it to FtW August of 09 for 3 weeks. So I want COMFORT!

Do any of you have any of these three brands of popup? How have you liked it so far? We are partial to Coleman of course, and Fleetwood is pretty much Coleman. Haven't heard much about Starcraft though. They SEEM cheaper, but if they're cheaper made, I'll pass.

Also, if there's a brand out there you would NEVER own, I want to know that too! I've got lots of time to look.

In May 2007, we bought a used 2007 Fleetwood Niagara. We love it! It has a small bathroom. Toilet and shower, just the hand held shower wand. It has 2 king beds and a slide out dinette, which the kids also use to sleep in. It has air/heat. We went to the fort in August and were quite comfortable. Good Luck!

We have a Coleman Cheyenne. No slideout, but we love the trailer. I like the Coleman better because the counters are higher than in some other trailers. My brother just bought a new Coleman/Fleetwood pop up, but I can't remember which one. He has the slide out dinette. It is really nice and gives you a lot more floor space. Downfall to that is you lose storage space and floor space when you pack it up.

We have a 2006 Fleetwood Utah, it has 2 king bunks and a slideout dinette, it also has a sofa which can become a twin bed, it has lots of storage space and they come with or without a cassette potty.

We have used ours 4 times at FW and we LOVE it, we have been in June/July and in December. Since you mentioned going in August, I would recommend Pop-up Gizmos, we don't have them yet but I plan on getting them soon. When the sun is beating down on the roof of the camper the A/C just can't keep up during the day and it can get quite warm in there.

Another thing is the beds are very firm, we bought a feather bed to put on the mattress to make it more comfortable.

Have a great time looking around and just make sure you bring eveyone with you when shopping so you can bring them inside the camper and see how much space you will need.

In the june heat we used a mylar emergency blanket clipped to the top on each end and that made a huge difference in the heat being radiated on the ends. They are tiny, fit in your pocket size and only cost a couple dollars. Space is always at a premium in a pop up when staying longer length of time. There is a cheap one and a coleman, get the coleman, it's much better. Under where it was on the ends, the temperature of the canvas was much lower than without it. That helped a lot to cool things down in our Coleman pop up last year.

We bought a Fleetwood (Coleman) Bayside in May. It has two Kings, cassette potty, slide out dinette and a dresser/ storage cabinet that pops out the side a little. We don't have a/c but have an automatic crank up, fridge and heater. I do worry about weight, only 500 lbs for cargo. It has a storage compartment in front so that's where the chairs go. With everything slid in there is still some room for small or medium sized objects. We are very happy with our pop up. :cloud9:
Good luck!

We have a 2006 Fleetwood. 2 kings, table makes a double and sofa makes a twin. No slide out, but it has a cassette potty and shower. We LOVE it! It is very spacious and comfortable for our family of 5.:goodvibes

We just bought a pop up but it's not a Fleetwood or a Coleman. It's a Flagstaff by Forest River. Though it's a 2006, it's never been used so we got it for a song. We looked at Coleman's and Fleetwood's and we found that Forest River did a great job at making a pop up that thought of the little extras. Not only do we have a little built in bathroom, we also have covers that go over all of the supports, the stove is set into place instead of being removable and it came with an extra "rvque" that connects to the outside. I'm not sure if other pop up lines do this, but our beds our heated and we have little hanging storage racks that go above the kitchen and vanity. We also have a pullout that holds our table.

For me, though, the big seller was the fact that the interior was not plaid. We chose a hunter green interior, but I saw a Flagstaff pop up that had white cabinetry, blue curtains and seat cushions, and laminate flooring. I just felt like these were pop ups made for people who wanted to camp (and camp nicely) without having to pull a big rig.

Thanks for all the great info! Now we're just waiting for the right used popup to come along. I think some people get them thinking they'll really use them and get disenchanted. Not us. We're SO ready to upgrade just a bit. We only paid $1000 for our Coleman Sequoia about 5 years ago and I'm thinking we'll get at least that much out of it when we sell it.

We just traded our Fleetwood Arcadia. It was very nice. Had the two king slide outs, dinette converted to a bed, slideout for the dinette, Had a sofa that was comfortable that also converted to a twin bed. Our favorite feature was the hardsided potty/shower combination.
