Starbucks

If you are paying 5 bucks for a coffee in the first place then does it really matter? In my day coffee came in a can and cost a quarter. Lol 😂 jk .
In your day, you probably didn't need the status boost of having a cup with the logo and your name hand written on the cup. Yes, personalized with your name or whatever you want your name to be hand written by an actual person. Who wouldn't want burnt flavored water with that personal touch? 😆

DH and I traveled with a friend who just HAD to have her Starbucks wherever we went. We wasted so much time detouring and waiting around while she went in to get her fix. I just can't imagine planning my travel around Starbucks. It's coffee :confused3 Each to his own I suppose. I have been known to make a detour for In n' Out burger :D

It's a bit higher, maybe fifty cents? I usually get Starbucks gift cards once or twice per year as gifts and save them just for when we go on trips or road trips -- I enjoy their Frappuccinos, which are about 20 million calories and over $5 a piece for the small one, so I save them for special trips like that. That said, I think the only place I purchased Starbucks inside the parks was at Animal Kingdom and I didn't find the lines too bad there -- of course it was also February. And I went mid-morning after a couple of rides first, definitely not first thing. The one in MK seemed crazy all the time on that trip.

We stop several times a trip.....when the lines look okay.
I get iced tea.......DH likes he can get a bottle of Coke Zero in the parks.
I have a lot of free Starbucks money, so no cost, other than the time.
We never go at home

Assuming the prices on All Ears are for grandes, the price difference isn't atrocious, but it is slightly more. Wonder what it would be compared to other stores in Florida outside WDW. Does a grande hot Caramel Macchiato cost more in Orlando than Philadelphia? No idea.

Man, I made the mistake once of wanting breakfast in park at California Adventure. I didn't know that Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical CAfe was the Starbucks location since they minimize the branding. It took forever to get food and we didn'te ven order coffee - to which they looked as us like we were crazy. I really didn't even realize it until we laft and later walked by and I saw the Starbucks logo on the windows.

Free Starbucks money? How do I get some of that? My kids love Starbucks and always wants to go. I stomach down the vanilla bean thing when I take them.

That's one of the issues I have with Starbucks. I shouldn't have to need a smartphone so I can figure out what their sizes are.

So, here's the story:

When Starbucks was just a baby, they had two sizes "short" (8oz) and "tall" (12oz) which I believe were both Italian? Or Italian-based? But since Americans like everything big, they added "grande" (16oz), and then eventually venti (which literally means 20) and trenta (which means 30).

So what sucks is you hear "grande" and think "that's big". This is opposed to somebody like McDonald's, Burger King, or Wendy's, who all just made their cups bigger.

I mean... have you seen a Wendy's medium???

The whole "Italian" thing was the idea of Howard Schultz. The legend is that he came back from a visit to Italy and had this idea of turning Starbucks into that style of cafe. He ended up buying out the original ownership.

I do online surveys and Starbucks is one of the places you can redeem the points you earn for Starbucks money.
DH would like to do it too......but the invitation comes from some companies. Not sure where they were coming from for me. Been doing it for years.
I just sit and fill out surveys while watching TV.
I have 3 $50 Starbucks coupons in my file right now. And a lot more $$ in my survey account. That is the only place I use it on
