Hi, can anyone tell me which is the closest Starbucks to the Grand Californian Hotel? I will be driving. Also does it have drive thru? I remember there was one that did.

I have Google Mapped and can't work it out.

I will really need to get my fix this trip as most of the Starbucks stores in Australia have recently closed. I love Iced Caramel Macchiatos and also the Double Shot in the can, want to get a few of these for the hotel room.

I know there is better coffee than Starbucks out there, it's just that nobody else does the caramel thing like they do.

Can anyone help?

Cheers
Angela

There used to be one on the corner of Ball and Harbor, the NE corner of Disneyland area, but it doesn't seem to be showing on their locator any more, so it must have closed. There's one on Euclid, looks like you'd take a left out of the GCH, head south down Disneyland Drive to Katella, and turn right; then turn left on Euclid. It's a drive through. Here's the link with the map:

I can relate about needing my Starbucks fix! Hope that helps.:)

Or for a nice morning walk just head over to the lobby of the Hilton at the convention center!

Ooh bummer, that's where hubby got our lattes in May.

I drove to the one on Euclid a few times during our last stay and it took more like 10 minutes to get there from CCI. Lots of lights and I seemed to catch each of them red. There's also one in the lobby of the Hyatt on Harbor (11999 Harbor Blvd) as well as the Marriott (12015 Harbor Blvd).

I think the one on Ball and Harbor is on the closure list, so I'm not sure how long it will be there.

The one on Euclid is not too far away.

How about this: PUT STARBUCKS IN THE PARK! Every time we visit, it's the one thing we always say we'd change.

Well, isn't Carnation/Nestle leaving the parks, thereby creating an opening for something else? :)

Oh yeah :thumbsup2 Great idea. Although I believe Starbucks have recently closed hundreds of stores around the world, so unlikely they would be opening anything new. Still we can always hope.

Yeah, you know, wouldn't you think DTD to be the obvious place? You know it would have to be a huge one, and it would always be thronged. Maybe it's true they might be able to move in, now that the Nescafe/Nestle stranglehold is easing off. That would be great.

the coffee at the bookstore was pretty good. last year, i was asking around DTD and DLH asking who served Peete's (sp?) coffee, but couldn't find anyone who did.

I always hit this place up... especially for the added bonus of Krispy Kremes that are there as well! popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I know its not the same but if you bring some starbucks ground coffee and some disposable cups from smart n final, you can make your own coffee in your hotel room with the hotel room coffee pot and just store the milk in the mini fridge.
Just a thought. Although if you prefer a caramel drink or a frapacino I suppose it would be too much to haul a blender and stuff to the room:lmao:

There is a Starbux drive through right off the 5 at Valley View (north from DL). It's probably 10-15 mins away if the traffic is not heavy. We just stayed at the Holiday Inn there last weekend and did the drive through every morning! It might be too far away for you though. We saw a LOT of Starbux all over. There is another one (non drive through) at Harbor/Orangethorpe. But that would be even farther away. The Disney Warehouse is across the street from that one, however! LOL

We just got back and I remember walking in Downtown Disney and seeing a cart that sold Starbucks but I think it was just regular coffee, not lattes, cappucinos, etc. I know what you mean---I'm a caramel fanatic myself. One thing I did notice in California is that Starbucks are all over the place. I'm so used to see Dunkin' Donuts and there wasn't one in site so I assume they aren't on the west coast.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and they served coffee every morning from 6:30 to 9:00 in the lobby which was great too, I made a few cups and brought them up to my room. I had requested the in room coffee machine but to be honest, it was terrible:eek:

Starbuck's can't go into DTD becasue of La Brea. I read somewhere it's in La Brea's contract that a SB can't go in!

It's too bad the one on Harbor and Ball is closing. It is right over the overpass and super quick. I went there all 4 days on our trip in June!

It's funny, Starbuck's is closing hundreds of stores, yet there are two new ones opening up in my little town! Makes no sense to me! I would think the one on Ball and Harbor would be one of the busiest!

It wasn't an actual Starbucks store, just a small one man cart. He sold coffee and some pastries and cookies. He was far from them so maybe he has to keep a certain distance from LaBrea but I bought from him since I love Starbucks!
