Starbucks is evil

I'm kind of lucky we don't have a Starbucks near me. Only Dunkin' Donuts, but I can resist! :teeth:
Awww man, if we had a Dunkin Donuts nearby I'd have a butt the size of Texas.

You think that's bad? Try living in Washington. In the 7 mile drive to the highway, I pass four coffee shacks and a Starbucks. 5 coffee places in 7 miles. Seriously!

I'm completely addicted to my coffee shack - they have so many more syrups than Starbucks and cost about 75 cents less. My barista is awesome - last week I asked about the butterscotch syrup, and she made me something called a "butterscotch vanilla." Heaven in a cup. And they have gingerbread year round. I have to limit myself to three a week, and I skip breakfast to justify the calories.

You think you have a problem, I have a Super Target with a Starbucks inside a mere 5-7 minutes from my house! :rotfl:

Same here! And right across the street from Target there's a Starbucks in the shopping center there. And then in the other direction from my house...about 5 minutes away, there a DRIVE-THRU Starbucks. And I go to Barnes and Noble pretty frequently so there's one inside. Why do they have to make it so convenient for me to feed my addiction?! I am in love with the pumpkin spice lattes. Those things are heavenly  And when those aren't in season I live off of caramel machiatto's and white chocolate mocha's. Starbucks is indeed evil...but I give in to them everytime :teeth:

I didn't even like coffee till I was in my 30's...dang Ohio State Fair..yes..they had free samples of Maxwell House...and bang...was hooked..
then the Coffee Beanery in a mall. Now coffee shops everywhere...oh...must resist

That would almost be heaven to me!

I can't go to Starbucks anymore.

I asked my 12 year old (who was flush with money after the coin counting machine) if he would buy me a coffee. He told me that Starbucks was affiliated with Phillip Morris and he would rather jsut give me the $4.

Yeah, I took the $4, didn't give him a tip either. :rotfl:

You think you guys have it bad...there's a shopping center not far from our house that has a Target with a Starbucks inside, a Barnes & Noble with a Starbucks inside, a Starbucks all by itself, and they're putting in another Starbucks, too!!

It was actually with Kraft Foods that they made a distribution deal, but yeah, Kraft is owned by Philip Morris. I'm not planning to give up cheese either. ;)

Also, Starbucks does some good:

Starbucks also became the largest U.S. corporate donor to CARE, specifying that its contributions go to help coffee-producing countries such as Indonesia, Guatemala, Kenya, and Ethiopia, pledging $500,000 a year by mid-decade. The company sold a coffee selection package called a “CARE sampler,” donating a portion of the proceeds. The grateful charity responded by giving Starbucks its International Humanitarian award.

All this googling to justify my addiction... :lmao:

OHHHHHH I had an egg nog latte yesterday!!! IT was soooooo yummy!!

you think you guys have problems???? My g/f WORKS at starbucks. SO she's constantly bringing stuff home...oh yes. I'm always telling her not to. If it's not a drink (double chocolate chip is my addiction) it's cookies or muffins or something...ahhh... :scared1: Not only that but we have 4 starbucks within 2 miles of my house. SuperTarget, the mall, barnes and noble and then a free standing store. Mind you, 3 of those locations are all in the same parking lot.....yeah....

Hah! Got you all beat. I had a Grande Mocha (skim with a bit of whip cream) hand delivered by my boss yesterday! I didn't even ask, she was stoping for herself and decided I'd like one too! It was very nice of her, but I'm back on Weight Watchers and hadn't budgeted the points for it. Didn't stop me from drinking it though (but I counted the points!). What's a girl to do when people just walk up to you and HAND you a mocha!

last night I had to pick up my dd at the gym. it's right next door to a Starbucks, so I popped in for a notfat latte and madeleines. talk about heaven.

there's a Starbucks in Penn Station. one of these nights I'm going to stop in for a peppermint hot chocolate.

LOL, I stopped drinknig starbucks to save for Disney :teeth: . It was $4 a day everyday and I was very addicted to their coffee and Banana Coconut frapacino's during the summer. I stopped cold turkey and one week later I didn't crave it anymore. I agree with some of other posts I gained about 7lbs. driking those fattening coffee's :rotfl: .
