Star Wars.....

In my own little world, SW I, II, and III don't even exist.

Also, Indiana Jones IV does not exist either in this same world that I have created.

Anyone care to join me?? ;)

I'm with you. I refuse to acknowledge the existance of the prequels or Indy 4 (well, and the last 2 Matrixes...Matrices? :rotfl:). It's easier if I just disavow their existence entirely; hurts my brain too much otherwise, lol.

I always assumed she was referring to her adoptive mother--Bail Organa's wife (don't know her name). I don't remember it ever being said when that character died. Did she survive until Alderaan was blown up by the Death Star? And we don't know if Leia grew up knowing that she was adopted anyway, right?

Yeah, that could be true, but why did he ask about her 'real' mother? I know that's the first time we ever heard about her being adopted, but I always figured that she knew & told Luke sometime when we didn't see it. (the 3 yr gap between SW 4 & 5 for example)

The thing that always got me was in Star Wars 6, Luke asks Leia what she remembers about her "real" mother, and she says "she was beautiful, but very sad. She died when I was very young." How does Leia have any memories of her since she died when Leia was born?

:thumbsup2 this is my favorite irritation of the star wars movies!

"Oceans" has some of the funniest lines!! And I also pretend O 12 and 13 don't exist. My world seems to be getting smaller all the time.

He was definitely talking about Leia; initially, George Lucas had wanted to do a 4-6 film story arc in which Luke kills Darth Vader and becomes Palpatine's apprentice, leaving it up to Leia to restore balance to the force (and save Luke from the Dark Side).

I'm sure it was written to mean Leia, I just think once everything played out it makes sense to mean Vader in the end.

:chewy: I agree with you about SW I, II, III.

Those people mean nothing to me. The character's have no chemistry what so ever. The only time I have seen them was at the theater when they first came out. For collection purposes, we do have all of them. DH has seen them a few times. However we will have a night where we will watch IV, V, VI. We will continue to pull them out now and then. They are the best.

First off if I remember correctly 3PO had his memory wiped at the end of episode 3 so he would not have remembered Owen and Beru. As for them remembering him, remember 3PO despite being built by Anakin was built from standard droid parts. He looks like and most likely sounds like every other protocol droid out there.

As for R2, his memory was never wiped. That was proven in the Extended Universe book series, which btw are considered canon in the Star Wars universe because apparently GL approves each one that goes to print. In one of the later series, the Dark Nest Trilogy I think it is, R2 malfunctions and starts playing scenes from the 3rd movie.

As for why Owen and Beru don't recognize him...the R2 astromech droid was a very very common droid. If you remember in Ep 1 the Naboo ship had a whole bay full of them, all identical with of course R2 being the only survivor. Plus R2 was very good at keeping secrets, so I doubt he would have said anything about being on Tatooine before.

As for Obi-Wan not saying anything about knowing R2...he wasn't exactly the most honest guy now was he?

Oh and...Leia never became a Jedi. She had some Force control but not to the extent needed to become a Jedi.

And finally...Han shot first.
