Star Wars Weekends?

Another question of ignorance...

First off ONLY 30 MORE DAYS!!!!

Now We will be down @ WDW for 10 nights... 9 actual Days we can do stuff.

I have MGM slotted for Saturday the 23rd...which is the last Saturday of Star Wars Weekends.

My question is...I know they do "extra" Starwars themed stuff...but does it interfer with the normal stuff that the park has to offer as well?

For instance...does the StarWars day end finally replace Fantasmic?
Do they still have a parade with Lightnin McQueen and Mater?
Are all the Standard shows still in full swing? (i.e. Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones)
Crowds?

Or do I need to paln for a different day...the only people that would get a kick out of the Star Wars stuff is me and DS7.

I went a couple of years ago and the Star Wars extras were in addition to what is already going on. Everything else stayed the same. The SW parade was at a special time. I would guess it is still like that.

2dogmom is right - everything else is open and running. The Star Wars stuff is Mainly over in the area where the Star Wars ride is. The parade is, of course, along the parade route. I think they show a movie (they did a year or two ago...) though I can't remember exactly where that is. The Star Wars stuff is really cool!! I love that you can get your pics taken with so many of the characters. I've been every year for a few years and get a few new signatures and pictures each time. Go - and have fun!

Hi, we went a few years ago too and I think you can safely assume there will be little disruption. In fact, I was disappointed there wasn't MORE Star Wars stuff going on... different strokes I guess.

I think the only thing that affected us was Darth Vadar was where Scorcer Mickey usually hangs out. With little kids, that was a big deal, LOL! Otherwise, there will be a lot more crowds than are at MGM but that's about all the disruption you'll find.
