Star Wars Weekends- moving to CA?

Okay, this is a really weird question, not sure if I actually read this somewhere or dreamed it, but is Star Wars Weekends moving to CA next year, or is this a mistake/false rumor?

It seems unlikely, but I could have sworn I read it somewhere and cannot verify now. We were hoping to finally make it to SWW this year, but as we have a big trip planned for Nov., we cannot swing both this year. I would love to hear that SWW 2015 is still in the cards for us, we are HUGE Star Wars nerds.

This is the first I'm hearing of this. I can't imagine how they would make it work at DL given they'd have to restrict it to one area of the park. They have much more room for things in DHS.

That said, I'd totally be down as Anaheim is much closer to us than Orlando.

I have heard that there may be a star wars run disney half marathon or something in 2015 to coincide with the movie release but hadnt heard about SWW not being at DHS...

They have done May the 4th celebrations at DL before so its not unheard of to have SW stuff there....

Shut UP!!! A SW race??? OMG, I will lose my mind if they do this in 2015 and I'm spending all my $$$ to go to Alaska! Aaarrrrrggghhh!! Well, the sooner I know, the sooner I can decide which kidney to sell LOL! Subbing to see if anyone else has heard anything.

I did see something about Star Wars land possibly coming to CA, I wonder if this could be what I had originally read about? I am so hoping to hit it in 2015 in Fl.

There have been lots of rumors about a possible revamping of DL's Tomorrowland to incorporate elements from Star Wars. These rumors really got fueled last year when some AP holders received surveys asking them how they would feel about additional Star Wars elements being added. As of yet, nothing concrete has been announced by Disney and the more recent gossip has indicated that most of these rumors have been put on hold due to budget issues. While Star Wars weekends would be popular at DLR, there haven't been any formal announcements about anything like that showing up at DLR either.

Hmmm, I think it sounds like maybe the Anaheim event might be what I read about! I was worried because of rumored construction at DHS and thought maybe they would move the event.

Thanks for all of the responses, I guess it is safe to assume that it SWW will remain at DHS, doing a Happy dance and hoping to go 2015!
