Star Wars Weekends Dates Announced for May & June

Sorry if this has been posted already, but thought I'd post this in case anyone else missed it...

"Galactic Good Times at Disney-MGM Studios

The power of The Force and the magic of Disney combine once again for Star Wars Weekends, scheduled for five consecutive weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) beginning May 16 and running through June 15 at Disney-MGM Studios.

A galaxy of Star Wars fun takes place each weekend at Walt Disney World Resort with special parades, trivia games, meet-and-greet sessions with Star Wars legends and characters, and special activities to cap off each day. While the Star Tours thrill ride is the centerpiece of the celebration, activities take place throughout the theme park."

...And we'll be there starting May 14th!

Thanks for posting this information, we've been waiting to here when/if Disney would be doing a Star Wars Weekend this year. The only problem now is - Where can we see a list of guest appearances so that we know which weekend in May/June we want to go??? I checked both websites listed from other posts on this thread but couldn't find what I need to know.
Any help --- Anyone???

I will be down from May 15 - 20 and am glad I will be there for the SW weekends! I definately want to know if there will be any guest appearances, and will share anything I hear!

Thank goodness! DH was in withdrawal last year when they didn't have it. Right now am on the phone booking a room to go down there the first weekend in June!

We were there for the first year MGM did this in 1999. We got to see people like David Prowse, Carrie Fischer, Kenny Baker. Different people every weekend. Each one of the had a Disney lapel pin of their character for sale to be authographed by the artist and/or the actor/actress.

I thought it was so cool when David Prowse signed all my stuff " DAVID PROWSE IS DARTH VADER. The heat was so intense I sayed in line for over 3 hours just to pass out four people from the front. All I remember is waking up in the food court next door in a wheel chair and all my stuff signed on the table in front of me.

YEAH! We are going to be there for the first Star Wars weekend! We were really keeping our fingers crossed that this year they would be doing the Star Wars Weekends again and that it would fall during our trip! Thanks for the info!!!

WOW! This is fate! We just decided yesterday to go, and we are working up our plans. This is the same weekend we were planning....and my son and husband are HUGE star wars fans! My son is going to flip!

Has anyone seen a schedule of the stars or heard who is coming? I am going, but I am seriously going to be planning my trip around what stars are attending!

Anthony Daniels, who has starred as C-3PO in all five films, will kickoff the lineup of Star Wars celebrities, headlining the event's opening weekend May 16-18, 2003.

Also, this looks really really cool (that or I'm just a REALLY big dork or maybe both):

Galactic Game Show -- Special editions of the popular game show attraction "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire--Play It!" will be presented, with a variety of Star Wars-inspired questions and surprise appearances by film characters. The attraction's studio audience can join in the fun by answering trivia questions using keypads installed at each seat.


Has anyone found any other information???

Yeah. I am glad that they broought these weekends back. Has Lucas and Disney made up?

I dont' think so. Its just that last year Lucas was having a Star Wars festival in Indianapolis in May (for the opening of Ep II), so all of the actors were participating in that.
