messing with my very well planned plans :furious:

Everything was set and ADR's were made. Then they anoounced Stars wars weekends and my DS freaked out. He has to be there. :confused3

If I go on the first Sat. it is early entry for the Studios and there is no way I will be able to get 5 teenage girls out the door by 7:30 - which means if we are late we will not be able to ride TOT and RnRC right off the bat. I also try to avoid these parks on their EE days because they are more crowded.

Also the list of "Stars" due to appear does not come out for a few months so I have no idea which day my son will actually want to go until he sees the list.

I wanted to do AK on the first day to ride EE. So I could hit MGM after but rumor has it that sign up for cetrtain events like "jedi training" goes fast so I risk missing things like that.

I have never been this confused.

Has anyone been on a Stars wars weekend before?

Also waiting for AP rates to come out for may is screwing me up. We have BCV booked for our first 5 nights and we need a resort for the final 3. I need 2 rooms though so it starts to get a little pricey. I would like to add a new resort to my list but don't really care to stay at ALSS or ASMU so I would like to stay at POFQ but I need a discount in order to do it.

I am losing my mind here people.

When are the Star Wars Weekends?

My DS loves Star Wars and Jedi Training is right up his alley!!

We went to Star Wars weekend on Father's Day--huge crowds, but so worth the craziness. We had a blast seeing SW characters wandering the streets, taking our pictures with Darth (don't tell him Yoda rules--he gets cranky), even some of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire shows are SW trivia. My DH thought I had arranged it all for him--he's a huge SW fan. :lmao:

The first star wars weekend is May 19th and the following 3 weekends after that.

How about...we'll go at the same time as you - and we'll take your DS along with us...my boys were Darth:darth: and Yoda:yoda: for Hallowe'en, and DH *had* to be Han Solo...

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Go ahead...ask me if if I have the Leia costume;);)
..The white dress!! - not the other one!!

:sunny:

mbb- sounds good to me. I don't get this whole Star wars craze. Sounds like you need to be planning another trip for May ;)

I don't recall the non-star wars stuff being very crowded when we went - DH is a HUGE star wars junkie and we had a great time. The lines for Jedi training and Star Tours were huge but the Tower of Terror, etc. were not that bad! I am sure you will have a blast.

I have this great photo of the Emperor and me and his huge red guard. He was beconing me to come towards him after I took his pic with DH and I was shaking my head, too scared. Everyone was laughing in the line - great actor - so fun.

Is it possible to tag team and take your DS for the early entry and then meet up with the girls later? Remember, there are always fast passes for later in the day too. May the force be with you.
