Star Wars Weekend

Does anyone know the dates for this? My son is a total fan--cried last year when we missed it by one day. We are planning on being there June 6th-11th--but would change dates around so my son could attend a day. Thanks,

I haven't seen any posted specific dates as of yet. THe WDW sites just states:

Dates: Select weekends in May and June, 2004
Location: Disney-MGM Studios


From what I remember last year it wasn't announce exactly what weekends until very close to May.

That time frame should hit it, if they follow the usual pattern. It has usually been the last two weekends in May and the first two weekends in June, and sometimes one extra weekend at either the beginning or the end.

Remember that there have been years when it didn't happen at all, so you might not want to make any promises until the official announcement from Disney comes out, which will probably be around March 1.

In 2001, SWW was all weekends in May. In 2002, it didn't happen supposedly because Episode II was opening and there was a big convention in Indianapolis.
In 2003, it was last 3 weekends in May and first 2 weekends in June.

The star wars websites had the news in early February because I was beside myself trying to get a DVC room in June only 4 months out.

If they follow the same schedule as 2003 (which isn't a certainty) then you would only be there for one of the days. SWW are only on Fri, Sat, and Sun. If you can stay a full weekend, you have a chance of him hitting all the activities.

I forgot his name, but the guy who was C3PO was there the day we were last year and while he was riding in the parade, HE was taking pictures of the crowd. I thought that was so neat. and the guy who played Willow was there and Billy Dee Williams too. if you want an autograph you have to get there early and get a special ticket. they only give away so many for autographs.
