Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

Are there photopass photographers at the meet and greets or is it your own camera only?
Thanks!

Most of them have Photopass Photographers, the only ones that don't are the roaming characters. Sometimes there's also a roaming photopass photographer as well :thumbsup2

Isn't that the truth!! I nearly passed out on Saturday afternoon standing in line for an Orange Bird at the Sunshine Tree. So thankful I had a cooler of water bottles with us. Downed a water and it made all the difference.

Appreciate that you are on the lookout for parade times!

I finally got my Mickey Monitor in the mail yesterday.

Isn't the cover Awesome...it's sad to see so many people pass out, you have no idea how many people I've seen just drop...keeping cool/hydrated is the number 1 tip

Thanks for the tips about hydration--all of our Disney trips have bene in November or January, so we've never expereienced any extreme heat or humidity.

Oh, yeah, it gets so hot. We never take our misting fans but I grabbed ours for last SWW and it was a lifesaver! It kept me from overheating.

I'm checking the HUB everyday, almost twice a day. I'll let you know any news that comes up there. Also look into sww.studioscentral.com (sww not a typo) they usually update all the news daily.
The full schedule is always posted only a couple of days before the first weekend, so stay tuned to the week of May 14th.

Okay...will be watching for your updates!:thumbsup2 Thanks!:cool1:

It looks like the Hat Stage will start to be assembled this Monday and it looks like it should be done by Friday. Disney Channel Rocks! show will move to Streets of America while the assembly is being done and then during all SWW's.

Any price on the build their own droid?

The carbon freeze experience sounds kind of creepy and expensive.

no sorry, I would think it'll be around the same as build your own lightsaber (maybe around $20). It's an R2D2 and you get to pick color of arms and the head with mickey ears, or a goofy hat, along the lines of build your Potato Head. I'll try and get to Hollywood Studios this Sunday and try and find out more.
I agree that the freeze me thing is way expensive for an 8" figurine, but I'm sure there will be people able and willing to do it.

My kids thought that sounded cool, but no way I am paying that much for them to do it. :rotfl: Oh well. I do think there will be people signing up to do it.

Why did you have to post about the carbonate figure.....and why did I tell my husband! I made home promise no more light sabers this trip so now he wants the figure. How do you yell a grown man no. I know well end up with at least three of the build your own droids but I draw the line at the figure. He was even trying decide what face to make!

Sorry :headache: hey here's a picture of the build your droid, maybe you can persuade him to do this instead (doubtful) http://www.studioscentral.com/blog/2012/05/04/droid-factory-coming-tatooine-traders

My husband is dying to do the carbonite figure, lol. I think it's too expensive but I'm sure his friends will all think it's cool ;)

I want to give it to him but at $100 it's just too pricey.

They both sound cool, but the carbonite figure is $80 too much.

Way too much $$!!

Happy May the Fourth Be With You Day :cool1: and here's a look at the all desired Darth Vader cupcake coming for SWW: http://www.studioscentral.com/blog/2012/05/04/behold-darth-vader-cupcake-star-wars-weekends

My dh will be so happy. He really enjoyed that cupcake last year!

Cool!

Love it!! Wonder if its the chocolate peanut butter again?

I'd be willing to bet it is. Starring rolls regularly has a chocolate peanut butter cupcake.
