My dd and a friend, sticking their tongue out at Darth Vader.

That is a funny photo!!! Was it from last weekend?

Here are some pics from our 2 weekends. The Ray Park autograph almost did not happen. This was my first time doing autographs and there was no instruction given to keep the purple wrist band. I thought it was to guarantee a fastpass. I got my fastpass, went to the hotel...it was pinching the hair on my arms so I took it off. When I got in line the CM's were very strict and told me I do not get an autograph. Thankfully I was in line with a couple I met in the morning and had fun with. The wife was not interested in seeing Ray and gave me her wristband... I noticed the next weekend they started writing on the bands, DO NOT REMOVE.....lesson learned for me

Question. How many people on this thread follow twitter? I am thinking about tweeting pictures from SWW this weekend. I was wondering who if anyone would follow.

Who knows, I may get so involved that I don't tweet any, but just a thought.

I have been trying to keep up with these postings faithfully, so if someone already answered this, I'm sorry.
What is the obi wan and beyond show?
Thanks in advance

Has anyone who attended weekend 1 or 2 stayed in the EPCOT resort area? We are wondering what time the boats started running or if we should all plan on walking? We aren't trying to get there for celeb FPs, but would like to get there between 7-7:30 am.

TIA!

Cin,

My son and I will be staying at BWV this weekend. You are more than welcome to ride over with us on all three days, but we will be leaving to be in line by 6 am.

Yes, we were there Saturday for the 2pm show. She had a blast, but I think she was way more interested in being a clown on stage. She's very much a class clown, and was "lucky" enough to be placed center stage during the training, where she stood and over-acted the entire routine. It was comical to say the least.

We just decided we're going to hop over Sunday to do AK, and then hopefully have enough energy to see Hyperspace Hoopla ... our dd doesn't know, she will be upset, but she's going to a birthday party and my mom offered to let us have a date trip. I've honestly never seen the movies, but planning last weekend for my bf and dd made me appreciate them.

Love all of the photos!

Thanks for posting this question (saw your post on the BC/YC thread). Also, can anyone speak for how bad parking is now (I guess it was a madhouse getting in that first Friday), but if we arrive at HS at 7:00-7:15 on Friday, 6/8, will I be sorry that we chose to drive instead of walk? Although, if the boats are running, that would be the most ideal. Thanks!

Getting so excited to be there on Saturday and Sunday!!!! Thank you so so much to everyone who is contributing to this thread.

Questions regarding the Padawan Mind Challenge:
Frist session is Clone Wars. Correct? We watch the show and have 4 dvds worth of episodes so we have that covered.

Second session is on the "first" SW movie. Is that "first" as in episode IV which was released first or "first" as in Eposode I?

My kids may not even want to do it, and (after watching videos of it) the whole thing is sort of loosey goosey and unorganized so I'm not expecting them to ace it. Just trying to decide which videos to watch on the drive to FL, and we'll watch whichever SW movie the PMC is about. The kids have seen them all and will happily watch any of them. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Loving all the pictures coming in!!

It's the many voices of James Arnold Taylor who plays Obi Wan in the Clone Wars. He is a very talented voice actor!!

Right the first is Clone Wars, the later is Episode I which is this year's SWW theme.

Karpkg: we will be attending on June 10th!!!

How busy do you think the last day will be?

I'm not the best person to ask about the last weekend; I've only attended 2 and 3. I'm sure Yulilin3 and the others can answer that.

I do have you corrected on the list for 6/10. I believe you were originally 6/8?

Rick

Have an account but it's too hard for me to juggle the DIS on poor cell reception much less twitter. I've tried to follow studioscentral at home but that's been hard juggling that as well.

2 years ago stayed at BWV and was told the buses(correction, boats) follow normal operating times and won't be open early enough for SWW. Plus they make other stops as well (Swan and Dolphin, I believe, again this was 2 years ago) So I walked.

Cut across the tennis courts; search on BWV to HS and you'll get some tips on the transportation subforum. Took me about 10-15 min.

Love all of the photos!

We forewent MK on Saturday and went to DHS instead, and left late. We were offsite and drove, arriving around 7:10, got to the lines around 7:16 and walked into a deserted line for Ashley and Kane. Driving is no problem for us.

At 7:00 line length will depend on who you'll want. Right now it's a toss of the coin on who'll be popular. I'm guessing Jake Lloyd because he was the star of Phantom Menace as young Anakin Skywalker. Followed by Silas because he was Viceroy Nute Gunray
. Catherine will be last because Clone Wars is television vs. the Star Wars theater movies.

Fast history lesson. Phantom Menace is the first of three episodes, known as the "prequels". I originally called it the original movie in an earlier post, I meant pre-quel. George Lucas thought when he first filmed that the public will be pulled in more quickly if the storyline started at episode 4; New Hope(Luke and Leia's storyline). It caught on, he decided to finish it up with the rest of the trilogy(Empires Strike Back and Return of the Jedi). Then when technology caught up with what he envisioned, he decided to do the long awaited prequel trilogy(the next two are Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith).

My kids may not even want to do it, and (after watching videos of it) the whole thing is sort of loosey goosey and unorganized so I'm not expecting them to ace it. Just trying to decide which videos to watch on the drive to FL, and we'll watch whichever SW movie the PMC is about. Hubby's already predicting that next year's theme will be Attack of the Clones, episode II because it's being re-released in 3D version. This year Phantom of the Menace was released in 3D earlier this year.

I was thinking Return of the Jedi since it turns 30 next year.

That's also a possibility. Right now hubby and I were just speculating on what next year's theme is going to be and who would possibly show up.

We were wondering if Hayden Christensen would ever show up since there was rumors last year although it didn't pan out. Mark Hamill came up in conversation, Carrie Fisher's past disney celebrity show up and heard about some bad press re: that, etc. etc.

kmcdougan,

Enjoyed your report!

I've been tempted to go down the line asking "Who here is from the DISboards?" But I chicken out every time. :bitelip:

I did try and ask the guy who was at the head of Ray Park's line what time he first got in but he wouldn't say. He called himself "Red Leader(?)" Hmmmm, like ooookkkaaayyyyy. Just a curious question; it's not like in the past where people grabbed 3-5 passes at once or saved the space in line for 20 other guys.:snooty:

I really like Yulilin3's idea of recording the voice actor's as a ringtone. I did kid around with Tom Kane saying I wish I brought a recorder since he kept teasing DS in his Yoda voice, and DS couldn't believe that he was Yoda. "But Yoda's short and you're tall!" :lmao:

I'm glad if tropical storm Beryl had to come through it was after SWW. Hoping it'll be clear this Friday. But if you're coming from out of town, don't forget to bring your ponchos just in case!

i always wonder too and of course i look for lgmh:thumbsup2! if anyone is there the last sunday look for me and say hi:wave:!

I would be hoping that these actors can show up next year:

Natalie Portman ( Not sure if Thor 2 would still be shooting )
Peter Mayhew
Jeremy Bullock ( Wouldn't worry much though, he comes every year )
Mark Hamil
Warwick Davis

Where did you hear the Hayden and Mark rumors?
