Star Wars Weekend Crowds

How crowded is MGM during the Star Wars Weekends? Are all the attractions much busier or just all of the Star Wars activities and Star Tours. And how much of effect is Extra Magic Hour going to have on the Saturday!

We have planned to spend that Saturday in MGM-Studios but we don't want to wasting our time in lines.

Hello. Star Wars Weekends in MGM really are not that much more crowded than any other weekend. At opening there is a rush to get to the actors signitures, but after that it equals out. Please be aware that any Star Wars activities areas may have a crowd, but most of the park is about normal. We always love MGM on Star Wars weekends!

Anything other than Star Tours and SWW activities should be about normal crowd levels. However with EMH, you may find longer lines....to tell you the truth its a bit of a crap shoot.

We were there on a Saturday in early June last year and didn't find it to be bad at all except around the Star Tours area when the character signings, parades, etc. were happening. (Even then it was nothing compared to MK or AK on a "regular" day when we visited there that same week.) We walked on to Star Tours 3 times at various times throughout the day, and pretty much no wait anywhere else in the park (we did not do TOT or RNRC). We were very glad, however, that we had done the Fantasmic package. The stadium was quite full by 8:30 pm when we breezed in for the 9:00 pm show and sat in the reserved section with plenty of room around us.
