Star Wars Weekend - Character Meals

We are planning another Star Wars Weekend trip in 2016 - when do they announce the character meals? What did they do this year? How fast do they fill up?

I booked my trip after the 180 days, and the meals were already announced. I actually booked a series of reservations prior to my trip so I'd have something depending on what week we went. I was able to get the Jedi Mickey dinner at Hollywood and Vine easily and saw it a few times in the weeks following when I was finalizing other reservations. The Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast went pretty fast though. Probably since a few of those were prior to the park opening. I lucked out and got the Galactic breakfast last week.

Both are fairly expensive and if you're on the DP it's 2 entitlements for each one. Some people have said both are overrated, but I will be excited to see the look on my boyfriend's face at both. I'll probably update after the trip in June; I'll be going for the last weekend.

If you have younger Star Wars fans, they might appreciate Jedi Mickey's with classic characters dressed in Star Wars costumes. Older fans might appreciate having their photo with Darth Vader and Boba Fett, and Jawas and Stormtroopers running around.

They're already available. Many of them are booked up. Same as last year, Sci Fi breakfast and H&V dinner.

When did they announce the meals for star wars this year? When they announce the weekend?

It was announced December 3rd, 2014.

SWW dates were announced some time before the meals were. The meals are available every day from May 4 through June 14. Not just on the weekends.
