Star Wars Weekend at MGM

Hi,
We are going to Disney during the Star Wars weekend and my 5 year old is crazy about Star Wars. Does anybody have any ideas about how we can maximize the fun for our son or any insider tips to help him get the most of it? We will be arriving early on Sunday morning 5/18 and then will be there for the entire next week through 5/26. We want to get the limited edition pins for both weekends- guest relations told me that they would be some out every morning-- but does anyone know where they usually sell them? Also, does anyone know if they have special edition toys during those weekends? THanks, Diane

Hey,
We're going the same time!! And made the trip especially for Star Wars Weekend, my DD (11) is crazy about Star Wars. This will be our first one. We've planned two whole days (Fri & Sat) to be at MGM.
I can't really answer your questions, but have seen a print of the artwork that will be on shirts and hats of Yoda and Mickey back to back ready to battle - both holding their light sabers ( really COOL!! and is now my wallpaper on my computer). Also wanted to bump you up to see what kind of responses you get.
My daughter will be awesome at Millionaire if it's all Star Wars trivia.
I ordered Star Wars shirts for her to wear from E-bay. Have fun.

Thanks for responding-- I had checked the MGM site-- some great information-- and have printed everything, but I am still trying to figure out stuff like---
How can Michael "get picked" for the Jedi training? How many kids do the trivia games? How visible are the Star War Characters-- will it be hard for him to get their signature? How long can we anticipate to wait for signatures?

Just have him be somewhat enthusiastic, and being dressed up will help. They're looking for enthusiatic kids. And if he doesn't make it the first time, there will be other times the Jedi training is held throughout the day!

They will be all over the place. Some characters, like the stormtroopers, roam the park freely, while others appear at places for greets

How long can we anticipate to wait for signatures?

Long enough to learn patience is a virtue
