Star Wars Weekend 2010

We are planning to attend SWW in June. It will be a 4 day trip and we will try to hit a park each day. MK on arrival day, and AK on departure day. Would you do HS for SWW on Sat or Sun? We'll probably be there the last weekend they do SWW in June, will there be any merchandise left?

I would be interested in knowing this. My DH is so excited we might be able to go to a Star Wars Weekend as both times we have visited in May we have missed by a weekend, this time we are going a week later and hope to be there.

The limited edition merchandise will most likely be gone on the first weekend. The last weekend you will find discounted T-shirts a great buy but they will also have some merchandise left. No special edition pins or statues, they usually go very fast. Either the Saturday or Sunday is fine, I would pick the day with the longer park hours as waiting on lines for the character can take up most of your day.

We went this past year on Sunday (last day for SWW). We sure didn't see anything on sale Character lines are long, the weather is very hot, line up at least an hour early for the parade and the Hyperspace Hoopla at the end of they day.

Can't wait to do it again in 2010, but we are dedicating 2 days this time.

We've done SWW the past 2 years (2009 and 2008). The PP is right - all special merch will be gone the first weekend, and sometimes the first day of the first weekend. It is hot, and it is crowded, although I thought that this year was far less crowded than last year's SWW that we attended. However, if you've never done it before and your family loves Star Wars, you definitely should do it at least once. Even in 2008 when we thought it was super crowded, we managed to ride Toy Story Mania (and it was opening weekend!), Star Tours a few times, have great seats for the parade, see Fantasmic, and get several character photos. I would imagine that most locals would attend on Saturday, so it may be less crowded on a Sunday.
