Star Wars: The Force Awakens Special Event at HS

I still recall the transportation nightmares that HS has had in the past while trying to hold special events (like when the villains took over on Friday, 13th :faint: ). I'm a little concerned with getting between Disney Springs and Hollywood Studios, but I can decide later if we take our car or disney transportation. I'm thinking that WDW "can't" sell "too many" tickets as they "should" be limited to how many the theater can hold, even with multiple showings. Right?

Will transportation be provided between Disney Springs™ and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®?

Participants will need to provide their own transportation between Disney Springs™ and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort Hotel the night of the event and prefer not to drive, complimentary transportation will be provided from Disney Springs™ to Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and back to your resort. There will not be transportation provided between Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and Disney Springs™ at the end of the event. Parking at Disney Springs™ is complimentary. Parking at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® is included in the event ticket price. Please allow extra time for parking at Disney Springs™ due to construction in the area. More information about parking and event logistics will be communicated closer to the event.

Boo. Yah. I ended up getting 2 for DH and myself.
I just got home.... 2 what??? Did the tickets go on sale already??? Did I miss it? I thought they were going on sale after the trailer is shown at halftime? Ugh.
I'm trying to load the site now, but not having any luck!!!

I don't understand either am I missing something I have been on for an hour and all it tells me is system failure

They are on sale. A lot of ticket and theatre sites are having issues. Fandango was down/really really slow a little while ago.

They appeared to go on sale early...... systems are struggling, Fandango really hurting, got through on an app.

I bought two off fandango a little over an hour ago and tried to get two more now that my sister and her friend want to go but I am having the same problem with fandango now as previous posters

I gave up on AMC after I called them. They accidentally sold out of the Dine In Thursdays that were supposed to go on sale after the trailer. Anyway they wouldn't sell me tix over the phone, so after giving up on fandango and amc sites (I think us geeks crashed 'em!) I found the Cinepolis, our newest IMAX theater right down the road, was happy to sell me tix for Thurs or Fri and I CAN PRESELECT my seats, so no need to fight the crowds.

Got my Friday Dec 18 7:30 PM front and center tickets booked solid with tickets ready to print!!! DELIGHTED! Its not a Disney theater, but I'm THRILLED. Its going to be a blast, without all the parking and crazy issues. (Davenport, FL theater.)

I've never bought movie tix 2 months ahead of time, but I'm going to SLEEP WELL tonight!

On the occasional times I get through, all I get is "system failure". Isn't looking good.

They are on sale for all the open dates. I bought 4 for Christmas Day.

Ticket sales began at 8:00 ET tonight. It was posted on the SW thread that I linked above.

I MIGHT have bought something... accessing through my phone worked best.
Got an order screen and put in cc info. But, can't get confirmation to load and no emails have come in. I really don't even know what time I clicked on when it went through.

Wonder what happens if they oversell????? (I don't even want to think about it!)

For those still trying... if you have a phone, try it. It seems like it loads better.
And, I had a couple shows saying "sold out" when I tried to click them, while others said "system failure". One of the "system failures" went through. (I just got to a confirmation screen!!!)

$100 per person? Really? I love Star Wars but, that's just a ridiculous price for a movie ticket. I would save my money and see it in the theaters when I got home. You could buy a lot of popcorn for $400. :-D

The tickets will probably be for sale tomorrow on ebay for triple price... :sad2:

Problem loading page... :headache: Over & over again...
