Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Opening Day @ AMC Pleasure Island 24

Hi everyone,

First time posting here, hope this is the right area to start this in, if not please move it as need be. Anyway...

As it so happens my next trip to WDW, visit #12 for me, will be the week of May 15th-22nd, just in time for the opening of RotS and the first SWW of 2005. Granted the AMC website has no listings yet for May, but I was curious if someone might have some more info than I do.

Of course the most pressing matter is tickets, when do they go on sale, will it be possible to get very advanced tickets online, or some other means than actually being there. I'm sure there are more than a few fans on the boards here that are considering going, perhaps we could get a big group going to see it.

If anyone has some info, or receives some, I think it would be a great idea to post it here to help keep anyone planning on going informed. Oh, and one little tidbit to peak interest, I do believe the theater has at least one digital screen.

We went to the opening day of LOTR 2 at AMC, and I was worried about getting tickets too. Bought them online through Fandango before we left. We really didn't need to do that. There was plenty of room, and the tickets cost more that way.

My next trip is May 19-27 and I'm also wondering about seeing the movie while I'm there. I don't know when i'll get the time, but I sure hope to see it that first weekend.

Hmm... maybe I'll take the whole day off work on the 19th instead of a half-day and just go to see it here at home before I leave for the airport.

We will be arriving on the 19th and hoping to see ROTS that night. Hopefully there won't be a line since it comes out that day. Hopefully someone will get some info and post it here. I think it would be cool to have a crowd of people go to see ROTS. Here's hoping someone posts some info.

We are arriving the night before the opening and are planning to be there for the midnight show. A good way to find out showtimes and ticket sales would be to get on www.movietickets.com and sign up for their rewards program and newsletter. You can earn points towards free food and tickets. You can also buy movie tickets online without the service charge. A good place to find out when tickets may go on sale would be www.theforce.net which I frequent for my "daily dose of Star Wars". We will also be at MGM for the first Star Wars weekend.

Hey! I think you and I were of one mind about the Episode III/WDW trip planning a few months ago. It looked like later we were going to end up going to WDW in October, but I was able to pull things together over the past 2 weeks and we'll be there May 16 - 23...and we are certainly planning on being there opening night for "Revenge of the Sith"! HUGE surprise for my DS9, who still thinks we're going in October!

I talked with a CM and he said I could take the phone number from the DTD AMC theater from their website and you can buy tickets directly from them over the phone...which is what I think we'll do. I just wonder when the tickets will go on sale. When I find out, I'll post it here!

Yes, as DS9 mentions nearly daily, it comes out on May 19th. FYI, I just called the DTD AMC and all you get is an automated system. So, getting tickets online may be the better way to go...I would imagine once the tickets go on sale, the phone line will be jammed.
