Well, the ones that are after the premiere date (Dec 19), yes.Since the new Star Wars movie opens in December do you think it wii be showing on the Christmas cruises?

This, you have to be actually on the ship on December 19 or later to see it. We are sailing in mid-November before the Frozen movie comes out and there are still a ton of people in our social media group who are convinced that Frozen is going to be shown on the ship because we are "so close" and it is a Merrytime cruise no matter how many times I tell them it is NOT going to happen.
We were on the Fantasy last week and the schedule for the week did not include Maleficent. They listed a preview but no showing a of the movie. Then Wednesday the app had a 10:00 Thursday showing in THE WALT. Then it ran ALL-DAY Friday in the Buena Vista Theatre.
There have been occasional instances when movies were shown early. However, they never show it early as far as I know only when it opens in the states, same time not earlier.

Typically the movie is shown at 12:01 am the day it opens on land in the US.
But, there have been reports of random movies showing at 11:00 pm or 10:00 pm the night before opening day.
And at least one time that a movie was shown earlier in the evening when the next day was not a port day, and the next port of call was debarkation 2 days later (captive audience).

I've never heard of them doing it days early. Only earlier than midnight the same night. That's cool but I don't really consider 2 hours early to be early, I was meaning like days earlySome folks have asked before if they would show it on their cruise that happened before opening night. I don't know if this has happened before, but I would not be surprised if Disney did do this for a cruise with special circumstances like bad weather or a missed port.
