Went to the movies tonight and saw the first trailer for the new Star Wars movie and that it is being released Christmas of this year. Then it occurred to me that Disney now owns Star Wars and they usually show new releases on the cruises when they come out. We will be on a New Years cruise at that time... Do you think Disney will show the new Star Wars movie on their cruises?

Definitely. They show new movies on the ship on the same day they open on land (at one minute after midnight). Then they typically play them for several months especially if they're blockbusters. I think we saw Iron Man 3 onboard about 3-4 months after it hit the theatres.

We've been on board for opening night of IronMan and one of the Avengers. They will most likely have a Prem-Ear at sea where it is the show for the night.

Most definitely, especially with all the Star Wars cruises coming up they will certainly being showing the new Star Wars movie onboard when released.

I'd say you have a 100% chance they will show Star Wars onboard.

If PremEar night hadn't been during a Western Caribbean Fantasy cruise, we would have taken the Dec. 12-19 instead of the Dec. 5-12 like we wound up booking. We wanted to take that cruise specifically because of the SW PremEar, but have no desire to do the Western itinerary.

We are on the Dec. 12-19 Western Fantasy so I'm assuming we will have it running. This is our first cruise so I have a stupid question - will they show it repeatedly after the midnight premEar? We have two little girls who we obviously can't leave alone in the room, but would be so excited to see it on the boat if possible!!
Thanks for answering!

Unless you are on a short cruise, you should have the newest movie play at least twice during your cruise.
