I'm sure I've missed this, but is there any plans to move these attractions (obviously not the SWLB building, but I'm assuming the M&Gs) to SWGE? I would assume the M&Gs are moving, but is Star Tours? Any idea what the Launch Bay building is going to be?

There are no real announcements but lots of speculation at this point. I would be surprised if Launch Bay stayed after Star Wars Land opens. Before Star Wars themed the building was recently Marvel themed & the switch over took barely any time. So I can easily see getting it switched over to something else. Marvel again would have worked, except we are getting Marvel Land at DCA, so maybe they’ll do something new. Star Tours I can see them actually keeping around. It has been there for so many years that it would be sad to see it fully go away. They could easily retheme it to something else that fits the Tomorrowland area better and even still build a second version of Star Tours over in Star Wars Land if they wanted. They could physically move it. Or they will most likely just leave it with a new scene that explains your location outside or Star Wars Land. Either way, if they change this one I don’t expect it to be until years down the road when Tomorrowland itself gets its much needed refurb.

Technically it was Marvel and Star Wars themed concurrently... Marvel was on the upper level, Star Wars on the bottom. Both officially opened November 16, 2015. In April 2016, the Marvel portion was closed and the Star Wars portion expanded.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm guessing they might leave those up in tomorrowland for a little while, if nothing else to give SW fans something to do when the land is at capacity. It seems unlikely they would 'move' the entire Star Tours building, but maybe they will build up a new Star Tours attraction in Galaxy's Edge, and then re-theme the existing ride to be something else futuristic. Wall-E, Tron, Witch Mountain, Flubber, Big Hero 6, John Carter, The Cat from Outer Space and one of my personal favorites Flight of the Navigator could all be fun.

The Star Wars aspect in Tomorrowland has always been ironic, so it will be nice to have those removed. 'A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....'

Wall-E would fit the Tomorrowland theme perfectly!

It's a pipe dream, to be sure, but I would LOVE to see Tron Lightcycle Power Run at DLR Tomorrowland.

I agree - Tron would be a perfect addition to Tomorrowland! I hope Disney is thinking along those lines - while I'm sure Galaxy's Edge has the focus, and Marvel Super Heroes land is next up, it seems like surely Tomorrowland is going to have to get some serious love soon!

I don't think they'll move either ride. Star Tours doesn't really belong on Bantu. And they need all the ride capacity they can get. I agree anything Star Wars at opening of SWGE will be a draw for SW fans. There will be guests who have never been (or not recently) to Disneyland who come just for SWGE. Hopefully Tomorrowland will get an update in the future. Current rumors suggest Fantasyland is next though.

This makes sense too though. It's Star TOURS, so it can still make sense in Tomorrowland, even if it travels within the Star Wars universe.

I saw something yesterday on ST at DHS (at WDW), which is located I guess adjacent to but not in SWGE there, that they may phase ST out and put something else in the ST spot. I was hugely surprised but maybe the whole Bantu theme vs. the ST focus is the reason?

But then again, Disney parks have never said "No" to theme clashes in the past.

I also think that the Millennium Falcon ride being a Simulated flight experience might also be a reason to re theme ST. And I am assuming the new ride will be superior to Star Tours.

Yeah, ST is close-ish to the entrance to GE at HS, but not *right there* at the entrance to GE.

I love the theming with the AT-AT out front at ST at HS, tbh.
