Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend ** Check-In ** January 15-18, 2015

Just signed up for the Rebel Challenge. The W.I.S.H. thread led me to runDisney travel partners Jim and Pam Stone. In addition to the race fee itself, I only had to sign up for a one day one park ticket, which can be upgraded to a multi-day hopper and can also be transferred to another person since I will have my annual pass renewed by then.

Excited I am. Nervous I am for the challenge of a 10K and a 1/2.

But most importantly, relieved I am. To all those who are trying to register tomorrow, I echo the immortal words of Han Solo: Good luck. You're gonna need it.

I'm signed up for The Rebel Challenge and the 5K! I am super pumped!

Look at you go! I was tempted to run the Rebel Challenge and the 5K but I opted for the challenge during pre-registration and then I was going to see how it went in the morning tomorrow and possibly sign up for the 5K then, but it's looking like that wont happen. There's always another year!

There is a part of me that is tempted to the do the 5K as well, but given that I'm doing the Rebel Challenge, I don't want to overextend myself. I've never done anything like the Rebel Challenge before, but I trust that the Galloway training plan will work. It's seen me through my first 1/2 in 2011 and the C2C in 2012.

Maybe this is posted somewhere I haven't found, but any idea where the start might be for this 10K race? Trying to make a decision about where to stay, and just wondering if all the races usually start in the downtown area.

I don't think they've announced anything regarding the course yet but both the DL and Tink races start and end in the downtown area so I'd say it's very likely Avengers and Star Wars will also.

DH and I are now registered!!! Now bring on the training! We have never done a 1/2 marathon before!

Took me about 9 minutes to get on the site to register... and then I thought it was weird that I could not register both of us at the same time.... so I registerd myself and then went and registered DH Well, maybe you could but I did not figure it out

Sometimes you can, but the site was so overloaded not sure if you could this time. And at 1st it kept saying full and then the 10k was listed, so some problems today. But congrats on getting both in!

B/c it's timed, the start and finish line will be the same as the start/finish for the 1/2. That way they have the timing mats and don't have to move them. And like the PP mentioned, both DL and Tink are start on DL Drive and finish in the parking lots. Most likely will be the same so they have a large enough area for corals and finish area.

What a stressful morning! I was scared when I couldn't find the 10k link, almost signed up for the half just to make sure we were registered for something. And we've never done more than a 10k! Just kept retrying to register until the link appeared. Yeah! Now I get to spend the next seven months planning our four day trip!

Seriously, that was stressful! I was online and clicked the reg link, and it was saying "FULL" right at 9am and then I was trying to go through all the fb pages and rD site to refresh and see what was going on. I knew it was an error but I was still freaking out.

Glad the 5k sold out early too, I almost registered.

To the extent of my knowledge they've never done multiple registrations at once. Maybe someone could correct me there if I'm wrong but I've only been at this a few years now. But glad you were able to register. Was it just for the half?

I believe I should have everyone updated on the first page.

They had issues with the 10k link, it appeared about 10 for 15 minutes after registration opened.

And yes, we already got the bit by the bug; we are planning on doing the Princess and Tink half marathons so we can get the coast to coast medal. It's all about the swag!

Ow, wow. That's definitely not very helpful, is it. Hopefully that didn't throw too many people off who wanted to register but had a very small timeframe!

I love your plans for the C2C already! Will you be doing that for 2015? Which C2C would you prefer then? To get it in WDW at Princess, or do you plan to sign up for the pink C2C - I think that's how it works. I honestly can't even remember. I have to not look too much into it or I'll want to do it. I love all of my runDisney bling!

Wookie Party is listed at 65% and Chear Squad at 50%. That's a new one too, never saw a percentage on Chearing before. I know packages have sold out close to the race, but never a % this early.
