Annnnddd add me and DH to the 5k now too. I couldn't resist adding them on. We did decide to pass on the Wookie party though. Just doesn't seem like a good value. Unless maybe celebs are going to be there....hmmmmmmmm?

BTW - if you go to pre-order the pins, you'll find a hidden commemorative item. It's a jacket! No pics though Never seen them put the clothing in the pre-order before - just pins, necklaces, kids ear hats and the Dooney's when they have them. Hey - maybe they'll add a SW Dooney!!!!! I'd go for that Anyway the jacket is listed at $86.35 for all sizes, men's and women's cuts. Says it's a lightweight performance fleece. Maybe they will post pics soon....

Wow, it is amazing how fast those sold out! I'm extra glad that DF was able to register us early with her AP.

It has led to one little, problem, though. When she registered us, the option to buy the pins wasn't working yet. When it came up later, I told her not to worry about it, because I'd go buy one once it was open.

Now I can't figure out how! Does anyone else know if there's a way to buy a pin when someone else registered you? Or do I need her to buy the pin for me?

You should be fine as long as you have your own Active account, I would think. I went straight to the runDisney page and clicked on the register links for the Welcome Party/Chear Squad. That should send you to the place where you can buy commemorative items.

I love your plans for the C2C already! Will you be doing that for 2015? Which C2C would you prefer then? To get it in WDW at Princess, or do you plan to sign up for the pink C2C - I think that's how it works. I honestly can't even remember. I have to not look too much into it or I'll want to do it. I love all of my runDisney bling!

We are going for the 2015 C2C medal. Since Tink is in May, that will be the second half of our C2C. "In 2015, any participant who completes both the Disney Princess Half Marathon in February at Walt Disney World® Resort and the Tinker Bell Half Marathon in May at Disneyland® Resort will earn a special pink version of the runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge Medal." Not a fan of pink, but the medal will be cool.

Our plan is SW 10k in January, Princess half in February, Expedition Everest in May, then Tink in May. Whew. Followed by our usual WDW trip in late October/early November. We are going to be Disney'd out. NOT!

Wookie Party is listed at 65% and Chear Squad at 50%. That's a new one too, never saw a percentage on Chearing before. I know packages have sold out close to the race, but never a % this early.

I'm with you, I don't ever remember them posting a percentage for the ChEAR Squad this soon before. Verra, verra interesting. But those look about the same as what someone posted over on the WISH thread. I'm guessing the 10K time is a little skewed because of the issues this morning.

My best guess is that by adding the jacket they are at least somewhat trying to cut down on the insanity at the expo? Maybe? It's a shot in the dark, but then if that were the case the I Did It shirts would be a good way to go. I highly doubt we'll get any photos until closer to the event though.

They did the pins and commemorative items separately this time around, instead of doing them with your actual registration. At this point, you should be able to go ahead and purchase your own.

Keep in mind they will also be abailable at the Expo and if you qualify for any discounts (AP, DVC, Disney Visa on purchases over $50) you can use them at the Expo.

Whew! Made it into the Challenge! That was stressful.

Man, my mind is so not on properly today, lol. It totally just flew over my head that you're doing the SW 10K and not the Half. But either way, the C2C is awesome! I'm still trying to get myself out to WDW but my goal is 2015 and Wine and Dine.

I am in for the half and my DH is running the 10K. That was a stressful registration process for the 10K! I wanted to do the rebel challenge, but I restrained myself. I'll do it next year when I have early AP registration again. Plus both kids will be old enough to run the 10K too, if they wish. Now to stress over Tink registration!

Whoop Whoop ... My wife got us registered for the 1/2 marathon this afternoon. Her and my son will be making their first trip to Disneyland in January and I will be making my first trip in over 30 years when I was far younger than my son is now.

I'm doing the 10K, and I'm pretty excited -- it's my first runDisney race! I took up running about a year ago, because I decided someday I wanted to run a WDW Half-marathon. Well... this is me slowly getting there. I'm running about 4.5-5 miles pretty regularly, so I should be able to get my distance up quick. I'm not ready for the Rebel Challenge this time around, but 2016... you just wait!

The late appearance of the 10K link didn't help things -- my AP friends had already registered, and I was freaking out that I'd have to train up for the half, before I checked the runDisney twitter.

Now to stress over Tink registration!

Hopefully it is! Last year was still good, but w/ the new date who knows? I just hope they add the challenge so it makes reg easier.

The past pins, the 5/10k/challenge are all similar to the what the deal will look like. The 1/2 has been different than the medal. They will have them at the expo, but it's going to be a madhouse and they'll go really quick. I have a feeling it'll be worse than DL last year where things went in the 1st couple hours and the wait for to check out was hours long. When describing it to my dad, I told him it was worse than Walmart on Black Friday. I would order the pins if you want them just to make sure. Jackets and necklaces, I've seen but never bought so can't help you there. I know I've liked the jackets for all the races, but I have a lot so I've never got one.

So now that everyone has properly destressed from the scramble this morning how about we try to guess what the NEXT new runDisney event will be!!! They are on a roll. First Dopey this year - then Avengers was added, then Castaway Cay Challenge, then Star Wars. AND there's the Disneyland Paris Half rumor out there for Sept-2015.

Soooo at dinner tonight, my DH and I made our runDisney "wish list" hehe. We want a Star Wars event around Star Wars Weekends in WDW. Since DL has the Rebel Challenge - WDW could have the Empire Challenge. And then a SW C2C!!! How cool would that be??? It could be the Death Star with Walt and Mickey on it LOL.

We also want a Half event in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. They could come up with a Mickey Globetrotter Medal!! If you do one North America, DL Paris and then one of the far east ones.

And then we want an event at Aulani! Themed around Lilo and Stich of course.

That's our wish list....for now. Only other item on the list was for wishing for prices to be lower

It really only makes sense that they would offer an Empire Challenge in response to the Rebel Challenge. Having it in Disney World and therefore a Coast to Coast option just has to be happening. I'm planning for a May 2015 trip that will probably include a Run Disney race just so I'm prepared for the announcement! I know, I'm crazy...

I'm so excited for this! I went to Roadrunner Sports yesterday for running supplies and the guy who helped me asked about what races I've run and what I'm prepping for. I told him DDD and the Star Wars Rebel Challenge. The staff got all excited then so disappointed when I told them it sold out that morning in just a few hours.

YES. I previously ran the 10k during the Princess Half, and saw very little at the Expo that I'd wear. DF did end up buying me an Ursula "Sea Witch" shirt that I love, but that was about it. I'm crossing my fingers for the expo during the Star War Half (and preparing to pay!)
