Star Wars Fireworks timing?

We'll be at DHS on 7/13. I've seen lots of threads about the new SW fireworks, but the Disney website doesn't list a time for them on this date. Does anyone here know if they'll occur before or after Fantasmic!?

Thanks!

The extended hours for HS are only out until 7/2 right now. FW are going off right now at 9:45pm.

The fireworks are 15 minutes after Fantasmic ends at 9:30. There may be a 2nd Fantasmic shown at 10:30. The addition of a 2nd Fantasmic doesn't change the 9:45 timing of the fireworks.

Just went to the 9pm Fantasmic tonight and saw the SitS fireworks. ASSUMING the new fireworks show starts at the same time, I can say that it's a challenge to go from Fantasmic to a good spot for fireworks - ESPECIALLY if you are at the farther end of the Fantasmic stadium. We were standing for what felt like forever waiting for the crowds to move. The fireworks started before we had even left the Fantasmic area. We were still able to catch most of the show, but I'd hope that Disney will eventually either start Fantasmic a little earlier or the fireworks a little later so that everyone can enjoy both if they choose.

For anyone seated in the far left (Beast), or really any, section:
- wait a couple of minutes after the show ends and walk across the front of the amphitheater (close to the moat).
- continue to the far end stairs and there will be an exit at the top of the stairs.
- that exit may unload you at the front area of the park near the stroller rental.
- from there, head to any spot along Hollywood Blvd. with a view of the Chinese Theater.

The 15 minute timeframe is a standard schedule. If there is a 2nd Fantasmic @ 10:30, it's best to attend that 2nd show.

For whatever reason they don't seem to be interested in being sure folks can see both F! and SitS Fireworks on the same night. They've always had them close together.

I'm planning for our stay at WL the last week of August. This Star Wars fireworks show is new to us. Where should we stand for best viewing and what time should we show up?

Show up 10-15 min. before the start-time.

As of now, we can only GUESS the best viewing places, as the show will be the new version
by the time your trip comes up.

Thanks for sharing this! I guess I can only ask about the old show. But is it like Wishes, where you can view it anywhere in the park but the "best" place is facing the castle from the south? Or do you really have to be on Echo Lake or Hollywood Blvd to watch these?

With the current "old" show, the areas I highlighted are where guests get the better views.
In fact, they CLOSE certain sections of the park and remove guests from those areas due to fireworks
fallout. (They shoot the fireworks from the buildings southwest of the Great Movie Ride courtyard.)

HOWEVER... They are currently constructing and testing a new "outside-the-guest-area" fireworks launching site,
and that will be from where they fire off the new shows.

I'm sure that the overall viewing opportunities will change when that new site is in operation.

We'll soon have new info after the new show premieres.

The new show will have projections on to the Chinese theater so the besy place to watch will be on Hollywood Boulevard closet to center stage, if you are too far back you will probably miss the projections
I invite everyone to follow the sw thread (link in my signature) for up to date info and reviews of the new show

May unload you? Is there an alternate location it may send you instead? :smooth:
It may send you out to the side street next to Beauty and the Beast theater. In my experience, during high crowd days, the exit unloads you at stroller rental but others haven't always experienced that.

Interesting. Kind of like an unstable wormhole with alternate endpoints...

Is the side street still a good place to access Hollywood Boulevard from?

If they exit by B&B it will be more crowded and harder to navigate

It's good in the fact that the far exit to either B&B side street or stroller rental unloads you faster than the hoards that are at a standstill trying to exit out the main walkway. You will have a few minutes lead time on them.

I plan to stand in a spot that is far enough back it affords me a view of the theater. I hope that means I can see everything.
Well, after the first date. On debut day we have Dessert Party reservations

Love autocorrect, I'm trying so hard to figure out how eating fat back had a thing to do with viewing the fireworks
Then I realized it was too far back.
Sorry, folks, carry on

OMG!!! :rotfl: this is why I hate typing on my phone. I'll change that

At what point should we get up from Fantasmic to beat the crowds? Sometime before Mickey's finger sparklers go off?
