Star Wars Fireworks from Outside DHS Gate?

I will be making a quick trip to WDW next week. I only have enough time for one day in MK, but the night before that I'll arrive at the resort and would love to see the Star Wars fireworks. I know I'll be able to see them fine from outside the DHS entrance gate, but do they play the music out there as well like MK does for Wishes? It's not a make or break thing, but just wondering if I'll be able to hear the soundtrack.

When I saw them on Dec 20 (infront of the DHS Christmas tree) the outside speakers were still playing the normal outside Christmas music :/

You can kinda hear the Star Wars score if you go through bag check.

1. Good views along the plum-colored pathway inside the area that I shaded in green on the map below.

OP - check for a download of the soundtrack. I know its not totally the same, but you can play it on your phone as the fireworks begin. You will have to work on sync, but it may be your best bet to view from the areas that Robo shows on the map. Maybe bring a little bluetooth speaker to pump up the sound.

Yeah, I've watched them from outside the gate by the tram and I've also watched back by the water. You can't hear the music unless you really strain to hear it, but the fireworks are still cool to see.

I've actually done this before with IllumiNations from outside the Intentional Gateway lol... thanks for reminding me, I might try that.

IllumiNations is completely blocked from view outside the IG.
IG is seen at the top left -rose colored rooftops- in the photo below.
(Boardwalk is the entire right half of the photo.)

You can kind of see a few of the high-in-the-air fireworks of IllumiNations if you stand on the bridge near Boardwalk.
