Hi! Recently booked a Feb 2021 cruise because it is a great time and I like the ports. It is one of the sailings with Star Wars Day at Sea. My family could really care less about Star Wars. It’s just not our thing. Will there still be non-Star Wars things? We’ll it be odd to be the only ones not obsessed with all things Star Wars?

I too booked Feb 2021 and my family are huge Star Wars fans. I on the other hand am not that much into it but I will say I was blown away by all of the events, Costumes, meet and greets and the Storm Troop's take over up on deck 11. There are many places to go where you won't see Star Wars activities. I will say Deck 11 and the atrium is not one of them....but all in all, I personally loved it all and I'm not a Huge Star Wars fan. Actually excited to see this all again next year.

SWDAS is just one day during the cruise. It takes over the ship that day, plus they play SW movies in the theatre, replacing some of the regular showings. You can stay clear of most things that day, but you might run into characters on deck and in the public spaces. The dinner will be themed. The rest of the cruise is business as usual.

You will be fine. It's one day, and the larger events - atrium, theater, pool deck - are easy to avoid. You will run into SW stuff here and there around the ship, but it's not overbearing; and there will be a SW menu that night in the MDRs, but just go to Cabanas instead if you must.

We just did one. When I booked, I booked the dates that were convenient for us and only later realized it was a SWDAS. We're totally not Star Wars fans. But it was only the one day. We spent most of it in the Cove Cafe and did have a bit of fun watching people go all out on costumes. But we didn't participate in any of it. They do play a lot of Star Wars music but not in the Cafe. Occasionally, there was an announcement on the PA from "Captain something or other" warning people not to join the resistance, or that they were looking for rebels. Mildly amusing even if you aren't into it. We skipped the fireworks and party - mostly because we had Palo booked, not because we intentionally didn't go but since we'd seen the fireworks on Pirate night, that was fine. It wasn't nearly as in-your-face as I'd feared. It's easy to avoid most of it but it was fun watching some guy dressed in a fully-inflated BB8 costume try to get through the doors and watching a guy with a red stormtrooper helmet wearing a bathrobe and holding a towel get his pictures taken.

We've done 3 SW cruises, we also are not fans but like to cruise in Jan. As others have said it's just the one day. We did Palo brunch that morning, so that helped to avoid it in the morning. I always enjoy the different trivia games, but didn't do any that day since they were all SW themed. We did go to one of the drawing classes of BB8. We also played shuffleboard and mini golf in the afternoon. Although we aren't fans we went to the SW at light speed show in the atrium. It was new this year and really fun. 3 cms from the entertainment group act out the first 3 movies in 20 mins, very clever and funny. I had booked another 7night on the Fantasy for Jan 2021, but changed it to a Magic end of March, so finally no SW, yea!!

Maybe we can have our cruise itineraries trade... as our cruise on the Fantasy in April does not have the SWDAS, and it was our favorite day on our first cruise :D

I have no connection to Star Wars. I've seen some of the movies and have basic knowledge of, but the SWDAS Cruise was PHENOMENAL!!!! Great fun all day long! Characters, BB8 races in the lobby, Boba Fett, Imperial Guard walking the ship and being cranky ....cause they're with the dark side and that makes people cranky.... It was terrific!

We ended up on a Marvel day at sea and we are not marvel people yet rather enjoyed it without doing most of the ‘special activities’ and yes 99.9% was just that day (we did see the characters roaming around other days)

Just did our third SWDAS cruise last week...and they played Frozen II in the theatre that evening while the latest SW movie was playing in the main theatre, so there is counter-programming if you're looking for something different.
