Star Wars Celebration April 13-16 Catch all thread

It's almost like they know how to get us excited or something ... and I am totally intrigued by the thought process/events that lead Luke to saying that last line

I like Steve and all - but that isn't really a review of Day 1 - more rather a take on the experience as a first timer/non-hard core Star Wars person / take on security there.

Wish it had more details on the events and what there was to do
I will find some other takes. I have been watching all of the livestreams the last two days. People have camped out both nights as well for panels.

Oh yeah, I saw something about the line being around the convention center last night for people waiting for the Episode VIII panel

And to be clear, I appreciate what was in Steve's article and found it interesting - just think calling it a "day 1 review " (which I know he did, not you) seems a bit misleading

Got it. I will still look for some reviews tho.

The lines have been crazy, but there are a zillion things to do here! I mean if you think you've seen something with lines for 7 Dwarves Mine Train, that is nothing compared to what we're waiting just to get on the show floor first thing in the morning.

This is my first SW Celebration but not my last, despite the lines (which I expected ). Besides all the panels they are streaming, there are lots of smaller panels with authors, fan community members, etc. The authors are all doing book signings, those rotate all day long. They have a tract of activities for the kids, including Droid races and a stormtroopers decathlon. Warwick Davis is everywhere, much like he always was when he hosted Star Wars Weekends. There are all kinds of giveaways, games, props, photo ops... Obiwan has an exhibit, and I hear they were giving away snacks at the end of it. People with epic wraps on their cars and trucks have them on display. Lots of people are podcasting live from the event, and you can join their audience. Costumes are encouraged and R2D2 is running amok, lol. Costumed people are great about stopping for pictures. It is overwhelming how much there is to do and see. Plus the shopping! Very brief review for you while I'm standing in a queue line, I'm sure others can do it more justice.
