Star Wars breakfast menu at Sci Fi

I'm sorry I don't have all the answers to everyone's questions. This is brand new and the menu was just recently finalized.
This is new and exciting and something that Disney has needed for boys for forever. I know that if this had been available when my boys were young, I would have been on the phone for hours waiting to book it as well.
As with anything new, there will be kinks and things that need to be worked out. Disney will do whatever they can to make the dining experience as awesome as possible and everyone will just have to trust in that.
If there is anything more that I can pass on I will

I greatly appreciate that you are willing to share this information with us! I'm looking forward to this event...our whole trip is for SWW so this is a fun extra for us.

I know this is offered during the sww period. However does anyone think it might become a usual offering. Our family loves sci fi and star wars. It would be a must do. My reservation is Tuesday. Wondering if I will be able to book it. Do you have to call still?

I did my reservation online.

I am very excited for this breakfast and the menu items! As a previous poster posted, I would take one of everything if I could.
I am thinking if my oldest son orders one thing, my mom orders another, and I a third then we can at least taste three of the menu items.

:rotfl2:

Thank you for sharing. I think this sounds great.. plenty of choices. I'm not a huge breakfast person so beef tenderloin to me sounds perfect! My son does not like chocolate but I know he'll want the French toast sticks... hopefully we can just get some fruit with it instead of the chocolate dipping sauce.

So thankful for mom2of2!! My boys are super excited (husband included) and we would have ressies even if they were only passing out poptarts as our meal! ;)

Thanks!

It is advertised as a non buffet meal. Look at page one of the Star Wars tips and tricks thread.

Obviously mom2of2 works there in some capacity.

So, like CRT, there is a picture with Darth Vader, then you go in and sit in a car. Do they take orders or do they serve family style and then you take what you want? Also, will the other characters come to the tables for pictures?

I'm thinking this is going to be very "cool"...... SciFi Diner is a nice location because it's so big inside. I hope to see some light saber battles.... or something more than the usual greetings and photos. We are really excited about Star Wars weekend but also worried about crowds.... Doing the Sci Fi Breakfast and the Jedi Mickey dinner before Star Wars Weekend will get us pumped up about it and also free up some of our time when we are at Hollywood Studios for the Star Wars Weekend. Who's going to the Jedi Mickey Dinner at Hollywood and Vine? I thought about doing that on Friday May 23 instead of earlier in the week... but it includes Fantasmic. The idea of being at Fantasmic at 9-9:35, then rushing with the exiting crowd toward the Symphony in the Stars show/fireworks sounds like a nightmare. I'm sure it's best to do Fantasmic earlier in the week and arrive very early for SITS. Good Plan?

Our ressies for both are on the 22nd. I didn't do the Fantasmic! With dinner. Should I? We've never seen it (DS is 5).

We have always enjoyed Fantasmic it's a great show with fireworks. It costs a few extra dollars to do that as a package with the Star Wars Jedi dinner. Nothing extra if using the dining plan. But you have to specifically book the fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine, not just the dinner. The fantasmic package is listed if you search dining by location. Our DS saw Fantasmic at age 4, 5, and 6 and loved it each year. Having the fantasmic package gets you reserved seating which means you don't have to line up as long to gain entrance.

I'll try to answer as many questions as I can.

This will be like CRT, the chefs used CRT as a template for the Sci Fi breakfast. The entrees are pre plated so you can't change ingredients, however you can change the sides. I don't know if there will be any additional vegetarian options since there are already a few on there. Asking for bacon or sausage will not cost any extra. You can't get the stuffed french toast un stuffed. There will be bellini's available and the characters will go through the dining room seeing each guest with the exception of Darth Vader.

Thanks so much for posting this Mom2of2! I've been really curious, AND I am pleasantly surprised. Granted, my expectations were pretty low, but I think this menu sounds really good. I always knew we were paying a (high) premium mainly for the characters, so getting more than generic Mickey waffles and plain scrambled eggs definitely exceeds my expectations (in particular the  french toast!).

I'm assuming if we are NOT on the DDP that kids are not limited to the kids' menu, right?

Thanks again! :woohoo:

I'm assuming they will not bring your child the adult food unless you pay the adult price. It's a plated meal, it's not family style. But if you're willing to pay the adult price you can probably do it, if you're not on DDP.

Right! Thanks, I forgot that... and have subsequently already reserved "by age," so I guess the point is moot. Funny thing is that, by Disney rules, my 10 year old is an "adult" as far as meal pricing. Good for us that he certainly does eat like an adult! He was the one I was worried about. My younger one will probably be ok with the kids' menu.

Speaking of the photo package, if we did Memory Maker, will these be included with that?

Thanks. No dining plan. I held off on getting the Fantasmic! Package for fear DS would get in the JTA that night or something. I hate having to plan for things ahead of time :)

Hmm.
