Booked Western Caribbean for 2018 :)
I requested our dining rotation to pair the pirate night with Animator's Palate, but then realized that my cruise is the one with Star wars. So do I get Star war night and pirate night, or just the Star war night without the pirate night? If I don't get pirate night, then I should maybe request our dining rotation to pair Star war night with Animator's Palate.
thanks in advance!

There is a pirate night but no pirate menu. This year it happens on Cozumel day and includes the deck show and fireworks. (Last year there were no fireworks.)

Star Wars day also has a deck show and fireworks and a special menu. That has been happening on Thursday this year.

Yes, I've seen it referred to as Pirate Night Lite. No Pirate menu, and I think there's no fireworks, but I could be wrong on that. I know there were no fireworks on Pirate night for the early Star Wars cruises, but I believe I've read where they are going to have them on both nights now.

The navigators on disneycruiselineblog.com show fireworks both nights. Maybe DCL noticed a backlash after the first Star Wars cruises.

We were on the first West Caribbean SW cruise of this year. I know some people don't care for the pirate menu, but I was disappointed that we didn't get it. They had pirate games on the deck followed by the Mickey Pirate show and then fireworks. On SW day there was a deck show and fireworks. We had rough seas that day. My dd and I weren't feeling well, so we missed the SW show and fireworks, but my dh went and enjoyed it. Pirate day was Cozumel day and SW day was on Thurs. Enjoy your cruise.

We did SWDAS last month, so can correct some wrong info from a PP. Fireworks both nights (pirates and SW). Felt like the pirate nights pre-SWDAS. Lots of people dressed up, pirate Mickey, fireworks, etc.. Really fun! Our bandana collection continues to grow <grin>
