I have a question for those of you that have had Magic Morning access... I have heard a lot about getting Fast Passes right after the rope drop, but I don't think I have heard anything about anyone riding ST during the hour before the park opens to the public. According to Disney, it is a ride that is open. Does anyone have any info to share?? Thank you!!!

ST was open for MM on Saturday when we were there. But we headed with the smaller group to Fantasyland.

We went strait to ST on MM, Sun before last. Before entering the parks, we were a good 15 people back. I would have liked to do our "mall walk" to ST, but DGm couldn't keep up the pace. So we walked a moderate pace. Got to the end of the queue that was so short that it was where there were two queues. The sheep all followed each other thru the left one. We walked into the right queue, all the way up w/o stopping, to the holding area right before you board.

Not sure how he got picked. Maybe it was where we were seated (near center of the middle row) or maybe it was his Goofy hat.

I noticed there were cameras near the pre-boarding video screen as you wait for the doors to open. I was wondering if that was when thye pick the rebel spy.

If we are already in the park for MM, do we need to back to the rope drop to get in line for Fast Passes, or can we just go directly to the machines be waiting once they start working? pudinhd, if you are already IN DL enjoying your MM, then you don't have to go back to rope drop. The FP machines will be turned on at 8am (assuming a 7am MM & 8am Gen. Adm. opening)

You can:

1. Ride ST DURING MM (depending on the length of the line).
2. Get in line for ST FP 5-15 minutes prior to the end of MM so you'll be ahead of the hordes back at the rope drop or turnstiles.

note - we used to do this at Space Mountain prior to ST 2.0 opening.

pudinhd, if you are already IN DL enjoying your MM, then you don't have to go back to rope drop. The FP machines will be turned on at 8am (assuming a 7am MM & 8am Gen. Adm. opening)

You can:

1. Ride ST DURING MM (depending on the length of the line).

Anyone who has done ST at rope drop on a non MM tell me how long they waited in line? Was it pretty fast walk on, or is the line so long even first thing that you were waiting a half an hour? I will wait, but I was just curious.

They let everyone into Main St 7:45.
The ST standby line queued on the right sidewalk.

I wanted a ST FP so I stayed in the middle of Main Street, in the second row of people behind the rope.
At rope drop I walked with a purpose to the FP line which was well controlled by CM's (especially when lots of people wanted to cut in line.)

I was 3rd in line for a FP and got an 8:40am return time.

I split from my part who went straight to Peter Pan. They were one of the first people in line for PP and they were just getting off when I arrived in FL. If they had waited for me, the wait for PP would have been 10-15 min. We got through 10 rides, including our ST fp by 11:00 am.

Thanks for posting this. An 8:40am return time (on your first FP) is as good as it gets. One doesn't miss a beat on early morning FP collection.

camouseketeer....what were your next four Fantasyland rides after missing Peter Pan & meeting up with your family at 8:08am? Any lines?

Casey jr (no line)
Storybook canal (no line)
Tea cups (no line)
Matterhorn (both sides took about 30 min to complete)
BLAB (about 10 min wait)
ST w/fp (about 15min to board)
Btmrr (about 15 min wait; broke down just after we boarded so we couldn't ride)

By then it was 11 am anytime for lunch. Had in my purse fp's for space, SM, Autopia, and btmrr by the time i left the park at 12:30.

How old is he? My son is wanting to really "get into" that sport as well. He has taken a beginners course last year and an intermediate this past year. My boy is in 7th grade and wants to take full on lessons. Do you play as well?

Bumping this up for the latest info! What are the lines like now? Are they any shorter during the week? Are fastpasses still running out in the early morning hours?

We will be arriving around 4 pm on Thursday the 28th. We aren't planning to ride that day. We are planning to get up and ride at opening on Friday morning. But I'm just wondering if there's a chance that we could get there on Thursday and be able to go without a 2 hour wait.

Either way, I can't wait!!

My daughter was there on Friday the 8th. She got there at a little after 10:00, and there was a 50 minute wait. They also got FP's, and the return time was 6ish. I imagine by noon the FP's had run out.

No noticeable differences between the two. Slightly different layout in the queueing area although they contained the same elements. The ride itself is identical - same options and therefore the same 54 possible permutations. WDW has 6 simulators while DL has 4.

Latest reports are 20-30-45 minute waits. FP lasting into the PM too.

I have the Mousewaits app on my Droid and even though we are at home I can check the wait times. Since we'll be there on the 21st we've been watching it a lot lately....20-45 minutes seem average. The longer waits actually seem to be in the morning, so maybe everyone else is thinking they have to do ST early to avoid lines, and then later in the day it's even less waiting!

In fact...right now the app says that there is a 25 minute wait. It's 7:30pm DIsney time and the park is open until midnight. Says no FP available, but a 25 minute wait means no need really. For comparison: Indiana Jones has a 40 minute wait, Dumbo and Peter Pan are both 30 minutes. Over in DCA, Tower of Terror is 15, TSM is 30, Little Mermaid is 15, and Soarin' is 30. (DCA closes at 10pm)
