Star Tours for 4 year old

I can speak from personal experience that I was 4 when the original ride was released at Disneyland and it freaked me out! I cried/screamed the entire time. This was the version in 1987 - so I don't know how 3D glasses and the new special effects would relate to a new generation but... may be a little intense?
My DGD 5 rode it for the first time in May and she loved it. It was an EMH night and she rode it at least 3 or 4 times then. She did NOT like ToT.

My 3yo rode it for the first time in December, and loved it enough that we got right back on as soon as we were done with it. He was really enthralled with the whole "we're going out to space" thing, and totally lost himself in the action.

Any experiences? TIA!

My little guy (was 3 and a half) rode in November. He was super excited the entire queue, also thought C3PO was the real guy and was talking to him directly. When we got in and sat down (me on one side, 8 year old sister on the other) he did get a bit worried. Once moving started, he grabbed us each by a hand, and did not let go. But he did enjoy it and cheered and "whoa"ed and all that, and was smiling. He was the same on Soarin' - nervous, but ok with it.

He was definitely one and done though!
