Star Tours Fastpass Wait?

If the fast pass line to ride looks long, I would come back and try again later. We were there from June 4-June 8. The Star Tours line was pretty consistently 3 hours, although occasionally it was longer and occassionally you would see it drop to 2 hours. DH and I took turns riding it once Tuesday night (June 7), and Wednesday (June 8) during the day I rode it once more and he rode it 3 more times. (Thank goodness for those resort fast passes). In all those times, every time it was almost exactly 20 minutes total time from the time each of us stepped into the fast pass line until the time we exited the ride. I think the ride itself is about 4 1/2 minutes, so if you count the time it takes to line everyone up and load them on/off etc. the wait to get to that point was probably around 10 minutes.

As far as the line to get Fast Passes, we did not enter that stampede since we had the resort fast passes. If you don't have resort fast passes and the ride is a must, I would get there when the park opened and join the mess trying to get them. I can not remember which day it was (not Saturday because did not arrive until afternoon), but people were complaining that the fast passes were completely gone by 9:20 a.m.

6/5 and 6/6 I think we waited at least 45 minutes in the fast pass line. Both times were late afternoon/early evening. 6/8 we waited maybe 15 minutes, 6/9 we were done in 15 minutes, but both times were early afternoon.

We just got back from DL on Wedneday 6/15.
Each morning around 8:30 am we went straight to the star tours fp machines and got our fps. The return time was usually for around 2 or 3 pm. We returned around 10 pm to ride and waited no more than 15 mins each time. Fps were gone by 9:30 am but warning my kids each day that we would ride it once later at night was fine with them.

The line to get fps looks long but we never waited more than 5 mins to get them. Cast members are stationed at each fp machine and they put guests' park boppers/annual passes through the machine to speed things along.

This morning got a FP at 9:08am with a return time of 3:40pm. Heading back in a bit.

Got a ST FP today (Wed June 29 a non mm day) at 8:05 ( was 3rd in line for getting a FP).

My return time was 8:40am.

We used it around around 10 am. It took about 15 min from entrance to boarding.

Great ride! Looking forward to different versions this week!
