Star Tours and Space Mountain

Is star tours a simulator or a ride?
Does it go upside down? Is it scary?
Does space mountain go upside down?
I have never been on them and we are going tomorrow so I would like to know what they are like.

Hi there,

Can't help with Space Mountain as I've never been on it!

Star Tours is a simulator ride, so it jerks you around a bit but nothing too drastic. It does really feel like you are flying the ship at some points! It does not go upside down or anything like that.

Have lots of fun!!

Space Mountain is a rollercoaster and goes upside down and corkscrews several times. Its fairly intense.

Both rides are on the fastpass system. So if waiting times are long pick one up and come back at a designated time

Star Tours is amazing - we really enjoyed it. We made this and Space Mountain our first rides of the day and virtually walked straight on each one - mind you I didn't do Space Mountain!

It used to corkscrew too! Blargh!!! Memories!! Ugh! When it was the old SM I went on and just before we were fired out of the cannon I remembered my glasses were still on and being a bit loose I thought Id better remove them. I reached for them and boom!! We were fired out of the cannon. As we slowed at the top of the ride I took the opportunity to remove the glasses and leant forward in my seat to place them in my bag between my legs. Whoosh!! We flew down the first of many dips. Well, I couldnt get my head back into the correct position in the seat such was the force!! I screamed all the way round, clutching my glasses in one hand, my bag in the other and my sanity barely made it through on its own!! My ears were so sore from being banged from side to side on the headrest that Ive never been on the flipping ride since!

urgh.. that happened to me too! then i realised i should put my head back against the back of the seat.... and it doesn't happen then..

i'm excited to go on spacemountain 2!

Urgle, yes I guess I should have thought of that!! Too busy trying to stop my stuff from flying out and my nose from dripping (dont know why it was but I remember it well!!) I just felt sorry for the poor woman sitting in the other seat - my screaming must still haunt her now!!!

i never quite understood how come all my stuff didn't fall out either... and i think my nose was quite runny... it WAS december though... a bit chilly!
