I am about to order my water from Staples, but I am starting to think...will I need the water with the dining plan? I honestly don't relish the thought of lugging lots of bottles of water for us (5 of us). I thought it may save my back to just buy in the park, but carry the kool aid/crystal light packets if we refill at water fountains.

Thoughts? Also, should I order my water ASAP for a 9/22 arrival?

and we just got back a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad i did not order the water. 1st of all the water is very cold from the water fountains - so we just refilled our bottles or drank from the fountain. We also were on the dining plan, so you can use some snack credits for drinks. We had a stroller, so we would also fill a bag of ice and put it in a small soft cooler and leave the water bottles in there.

We leave in a few days and I just ordered the water. It will cost only $13 for 2 cases. We bought 2 cases last year and we didn't use it all but it was great to have. We did carry it to the parks, and am glad we had the water with us! I don't like to drink water from the fountains and with 90 degree temps we will go through a lot.

we just ordered our water but more so for the room and i have a bottle fed 9 month old that i can not give fountain water :thumbsup2

I didn't mind the water at WDW. Most fountains were fine. A couple were a little warm, one in MK was icky, but the other 100 or so we drank from were just peachy! We drank from every fountain we passed. We hate to lug stuff in the parks, so it worked fine for us!

We packed our Brita filter pitcher and used it to refill the same bottles every night in the room. It worked wonderfully. The only issue was finding a safe place for it in the luggage. (It made it fine both ways.)

I am also going to be ordering 2 cases of water from Staples to be delivered to the resort. There will only be 2 of us, but we both drink a lot of water. I figure if we each drink a bottle of water in the morning with our breakfast in the room, and then we will each take a bottle of water with us to the parks. Then when we get back from the parks, I am sure we will each have a bottle of water or two before bed (or take some with us to the pool). We are also taking part in one of the fridge swaps, so it will be nice to have some cold bottles of water in the room. Besides, I want my snack credits for some good snacks, not just water.

We just took 1 bottle each and refilled at water fountains. The koolaid singles are sugar free and when we just couldn't stand anymore water we added those. We didn't buy a drink all day. I plan on using this method when we return in oct.

I think the primary issue with Disney water is the taste. Since you're bringing flavor packets, you should be fine without ordering water.

If you DO choose to, though, it only usually takes one business day to arrive! You'll get the exact/expected date during the order process, but I wouldn't order very far in advance.

And since there are other things I'd rather use my snack credits for, I'd get the water some other way (aka delivered)

Any CS place will give you free ice water, which is nice because you don't have to lug around a bottle that you might not drink before it gets warm and, well, it's free. :) The water fountains mostly seem good and cold, too.

I take an empty Brita filter bottle because I have issues with the water - I dump the ice water in and drink. If the water doesn't bother you to start with or your flavors will do it, then all's good. No need to spend money or snack credits.

I have never ordered water but did bring bottled water with us. We drove. I had to have water on me at all times. I froze it the night before and I did fill up some at the water fountain. I thought that some of the water fountains were a little warm and foul tasting. You don't have to carry all the water all the time. Switch whenever you return to the hotel room. Get drinks during meals. But it is nice to start out with a full water bottle.

I took the Walmart brand of Crystal Light single serve packets and just mixed them in the cold c/s water with ice and it was great. I didn't worry about bringing any water and trying to keep it cold enough to drink. I plan on doing the same for this next trip maybe taking some of the Kool-Aid flavors for my dh.

We took one brita water bottle to the parks, to share amongst the family. I didn't find the water bad at all though (without the filter).

We used snack credits for ice cream, and world showcase, mostly. We had extra snack credits on the last day though, for plenty of rice krispy treats at home. I wouldn't use them on water. Plenty to be had.
