Staples 1 cent sale???

We just got back from our cruise last weekend. I was talking to a friend of mine about doing some back to school shopping. She said that she did hers the week that I was on vacation at Staples during the 1 cent sale.

Do you know if they have more than one of these sales before school starts? I've never been and when I heard what she bought I was sooooo jealous!!! I want some deals!!!!

Staples has had their penny sales for the past three years. However, this year they have changed the rules. You are required to spend a minimum of $5 in merchandise in order to be able to buy the penny items. Depending on the item, you are also limited in how many you can purchase. I know teachers are allowed 25 of each penny item.

But do you know if they have more than one of those sales? I missed it last week or so and would love to go if they have another one.

They usually have something on penny sale each week.this week it was glue. this coming week it's bic pens and multi purpose computer paper.

We are going to go for the 25 cent highlighters and backpacks that are a staples rewards freebie this week. Will take DD to a few staples this week to check out the backpacks and will buy on monday when our stores open (NJ blue laws).

Luckily she does not need much in the way of supplies as we stocked up last year.

Meant to say on thursday or friday you can see the preview of the upcoming week's ad. you can also print out coupons to be used in store from their website.

I looked at the Staples ad for Sunday today and saw the ones you mentioned. FYI, the one for the Bic Pens is only good until 7/28. Not the 31st, like the rest of the deals.

Last year my DD10 and I went to Staples to get the penny deals but with the $5 min. purchase we probably won't be going as often this year.
