Has anyone flown from Stanstead, hows the security?? We fly August and I don't know whether to purchase it or now

We've flown from Stanstead quite a few times (never to Orlando though), the Security is pretty reasonsble and generally moves fairly promptly but I guess it's just luck of the draw depending on how many people are there at the same time.

Have you gotten decent prices from Stansted? Everything I've found for September is way more then London or Manchester! And we only live 45mins away!
I absolutely begrudge having to drive to London when I can stay at my own house and drive down within an hour.

Ditto, they are jokers with their STN pricing right now!

And they only run flights in the Summer months.

In terms of the Airport itself, it can often be a long wait for the tram things to get to the gate for a long distance flight due to passenger volumes.

Security can be a pain if you happen to be behind a couple of flights worth of Easyjet or Ryan Air passengers who have stuffed a weeks worth of clothes into hand luggage, and then realize their iPad needs to come out to get through!!

We actually got the best price we saw at Stanstead, £2300 for 2 adults and staying in All Star Sports in August
