This guy was one of the most evil people of my lifetime, and did more damage to this country, particularly its cities, than anyone I can think of. I guess just writing a couple of children's books wasn't enough to save him.

Kind of off topic but if anyone could send some prayers/pixie dust, my husband is walking out the door to go to work (he is a police officer) and is having to take his riot gear with him, hoping he doesn't have to use it, it is going to be a long night for everyone.

I've changed my mind on the death penalty several times during my lifetime. Nonetheless, I think we all need to pay for the consequences of our actions. If he is truly a changed man, then I hope that Jesus is waiting for him with open arms tonight.

Christ told the thief on the cross: "You will be in paradise with me tonight." He did not say, "Okay, if you believe, I'll let you down off that cross."

I think it's terrific when death row prisoners turn their lives around. But they still have to pay the consequences for what they did.

He was convicted for murders that were committed 26 years ago. In Chinatown, one of my favorite movies, the villain says "Politicians, public buildings, and *****s all get respectable if they last long enough." That's what happened here.

Add in some airheaded Hollywood activist types that fell under Tookie's spell, and before you know it he's a celebrity. His victims are long forgotten, and the horrendous damage he did as founder of the Crips gets minimized.

If anybody deserves to be executed, this guy does.

Yes, much pixie dust and prayers for your DH and all police officers - to have to deal with people rioting because a MURDERER was put to death is a nuisance!
