We will be at Epcot Sunday Dec 11th. We plan to be there for rope drop. since we want to FP+ FEA that means we will have to do Soarin and TT standby. If we went right to TT at rope drop and then let the kids do MS after that and then moved over to Soarin what do you think the wait time would be for Soarin? Has the times gone way down since the new part opened? or should we go right to Soarin after TT and wait on MS? I don't want to FP MS becasue only 2 out of 5 of us ride it. would rather use the FP for something we all ride.

For normal standby, I've seen TT consistently be longer but there are days where soaring is higher..

TT also has the single rider line, not sure if that would work for your group if you don't care about riding together. I generally use this line and get a ride with reasonable wait times.

If you rope drop TT, you're going to want to go straight to Soarin' afterwards then go back to MS. I know that's a lot of back and forth, but I think the TT line builds faster than the Soarin' line. Now, if you can do single rider as Accident proposes, then I'd do Soarin', TT, then MS.

Honestly if I were you, I would do Frozen Ever After at rope drop, and then Soarin, and save TT for FP+. Test Track often opens 15-25 min after rope drop, and the line builds up fast while waiting to open. This whole thing will probably interfere with your Soarin and Mission Space time.

Do Frozen at Rope Drop, then head to Soarin. Then use FP+ for TT and MS.

Where did you hear that? We've done TT at rope drop several times, and it's always been open. The only wait was walking through the building.

This has been happening for the last 3 months. Not always but very frequently. A lot of friends that have been going have said this, and I went twice to Epcot last month, and the first day I noticed it happening but didn't ride it. Second day my plan was to do TT at rope drop and Soarin FP+, but I was thinking about changing after hearing that from friends, as well as witnessing it myself a few days earlier, but it was too late to change and I didn't want to play with FP+ a few days before the day because they could easily get booked up.

MISTAKE, I went to TT at rope drop and it wasn't opened just yet, however the line was like a U shape out the door by a number of yards. I waited about 75 min as soon as it opened. I was hoping to ride it twice but I couldn't because by the time we finished, if we did it again with an 85 min wait posted, it would have interfered with our FP+ window for Soarin.

I even asked a few cast members about it, and they all said TT always opens about 15-25 min later for many technical reasons. They started doing that in June.

We were just there last weekend and Soarin was posted at 35 minutes consistently. We waited without FP and it was all of 10 minutes. I think you'll be fine. Although I would check the wait time and determine if MS is a better first option or second.

I do not want to discount your experience, but this is the first I've seen anyone talking about it. I'm going to start a new thread just to see who else has had this experience. This is a huge planning detail that needs to be known if it's as common as it appears to be.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that as well. Please do start that thread.

I've never heard about this TT snafoo either. You said this is something new that's been happening? If this is true, it certainly throws a wrench in things. Our experience has been to go to TT at RD, we rode it twice with no wait. But by the time we got over to Soarin, that line was way too long too go standby. Luckily we had planned for this, knowing how fast the line builds at Soarin and we had a fp for Soarin later. I don't think you'll want to try to do both on standby. You'll be able to do one or the other at RD on standby.

Well its still supposed to open at rope drop, but it very often doesn't due to technical reasons. Its pretty much a 50/50 chance, but thats too much for me to count on it again. Anyway I think Soarin standby is the best, because its a ride I usually want to do twice and I can just ride twice at rope drop, especially nowadays when they added the extra theater, the line moves faster. Another plus is that Living with the Land is right next door and won't be a ride you would want to waste an FP+ on if you only have one day at Epcot, so I could ride that right after.
