Standard View at VGF?

Has anyone stayed in a 1 BR Villa at VGF with a standard view? Any idea what the views are likely to be?

We stayed in a standard view this February. Our view was of the monorail and the Grand Floridian Hotel. Last year we had a lake view and to be honest we preferred the standard view much better. I would recommend an upper floor.

We had a two bedroom standard view. I put my pics on the GFV view thread. I loved it and so happy I did not use extra points for a lake view.

Where else but in Disney can you wake up and see a monorail magically pass?

I had an excellent view if the monorail, the fountain immediately in front of us and the pool to the right.

I stayed in a 2 BR lake view last year and view was just OK, so good to know standard aren't horrible as those look to be more available during my dates (per the availability tool). And thanks for the great link!

Standard views can be mixed. You might face the front of the resort with the Senses Spa parking lot view or you might face the GF with a partial high fire works view. Problem is you don't know what you will get.

With the lake view you will see the lake no matter which floor they put you on.
