We have always stayed in a savannah view room at Kidani. Where are the standard view rooms at Kidani? Are standard rooms parking lots views?

I believe most standard views are towards the parking/bus stops
But pool view is also standard view
And some partial Pembe savanna view rooms are also standard.

Hmm! I may need to just stick with the savannah view. Last year we had a savannah view and requested near the lobby and near transportation. We had a wonderful spot!

Just to add to the conversation -- would you say the standard views at Kidani are the same as at Jambo? I remember hearing a comment that the JAmbo standards were pool views or those of the grounds.

JI remember hearing a comment that the JAmbo standards were pool views or those of the grounds.
Most Standard Views in Jambo House face the Uzima Pool. There are a small number of Standard Views in JH that used to be classified as Savanna View, but were reclassified due to having a limited view of the Savanna.

Only once did we have standard view at Kidani. We had a 1 bedroom that overlooked the entrance. It was not a nice view.

We have had standard view at Kidani twice, and a savanna view once. The savanna view was obviously amazing, though not something we would want to spend the points on every year.

I think the standard view can also be really nice, depending on how you look at it! The first time we were pretty close to , and looking out directly over, the bus stop. My son would keep an eye on things every morning and tell us which bus had just left. :) The evenings my DH and I would sit on the balcony and people watch as families were coming back from the parks. It was really kind of nice.

Just a few weeks ago we were also standard view a little further back. We could still see the bus stop, but got a nice surprise when we realized we could see the very top of Wishes from our balcony!! We must have had just the right angle, because I know for sure we couldn't see it the first time we stayed standard view.

Standard at Jambo was originally only pool view rooms. They then converted a number of savanna views to standard. and the standards with savanna view are located in different places throughout the resort.

For Kidani, see this map of the resort: http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/Kindani_Village_Map.jpg The front entrance of the resort faces west and thus there is a north wing on the left side of the map and a south wing on the right. The pool is on the north wing, the bus stop the south wing. On the south wing, standards are the rooms facing the front entrance area, bus stop and road in the first four building pods from the lobby. The rest of the building pods on the south wing have no rooms on that side of the building.

On the north wing, the rooms facing the front entrance area and the pool in the first three building pods are standard. Kidani also had a conversion of savanna view rooms to standard. It is believed a least some of rooms in the fourth pod from the lobby which face the very bottom of Pembe Savanna are now also standard view. Moreover, confirmed is that the rooms facing Pembe in the sixth pod from the lobby are now standard view. It is possible there are also some in the seventh pod, although I have seen no confirmation for that except for Grand Villas. There is a Grand Villa facing Pembe right at the end of the sixth pod and another right at the beginning of the 7th pod from the lobby. Those are the only GVs facing Pembe and both were converted to standard view due to the fact that the outer fence of the savanna comes fairly close to the building in that area, apparently causing animals to usually pass through but not stop there.

We have also stayed right above the bus stop. It was so convenient; there are some stairs that take you directly down so we didn't mess with the elevators most of the trip.
This is such a nice place to stay and you will feel like you are getting a bargain on those standard points. The view may not be exciting, but the facilities certainly are and we still enjoyed the animals quite a bit due to all the viewing areas.

We did do a standard view once at Kidani, it overlooked the pool. If you looked to your left it had a nice view of the savannah.
