Standard Room request for BWV 1 bedroom?

We are staying at Boardwalk Villas for the first time soon. Anyone have experience getting a good view from a standard 1 bedroom? We'd love to see fireworks from the balcony and I heard this is possible in some rooms. I know there is a good chance we'll get a parking lot view and that's fine but we'd like to try to request a better one if possible.

None of the views are actually bad (that parking lot is in the distance). For better view of top of Epcot fireworks (which you see looking over the BWI building but it is still a "parking lot" view) ask for upper floor (4 or 5) away from (not close to) the elevators but overlooking the front of BW resort

Both times I have had a standard view at BWV I haven't been able to see the fireworks. One time I was on the ground level...very nice area since I just had to walk out my door, turn left and then out the doorway to the walkway to the bus stop...took about 4 mins, if that to get to the bus. But, no way I could see the fireworks.
The second time, last Dec, I was on the fourth floor, but overlooking the pond, towards DHS. Nice view, but not a shot of seeing the fireworks. But, I still like the standard view rooms.

When I book BWV standard, I request top floor across from the bus stop. Have always been happy with the view.

That is an ideal request to see fireworks and OP should consider trying that one.

Thanks everyone! Will request the top floor across from bus stop. If I don't get it, that's fine we did book standard after all. It would be awesome to get a standard room for the fewer points and still have a view of the fireworks.
