Standard view is typically the most difficult category to book at BLT. It's a smaller number of rooms and the lower point requirements are very popular. It definitely can be done at times but I'd always "budget" at least for Lakeview and just be happy if I could get Standard view at 7 months. Some times of the year you even need to do that at 11 months.
At 11 months a SV 1 bedroom was not available for me for next July 2,3! I got hold of one in a few days, maybe someone was "walking." I wanted those 10 points that SV saved me!

For this year, i had a LV studio for those 2 dates, I really do not remember if I tried at 11 months or not. Next year, there will be 3 adults, so, I really wanted a 1 bedroom.
That's crazy. I had a 2 bedroom (dedicated) and it was still available at 7 months in a standard view. I thought those would be in more demand than one bedrooms.
August is a fairly mild DVC demand time, but even then standard view any room size can still have issues at 7 months out. For 2016 at 7 months out, the rooms were typically missing 2 to 5 nights per week and it was actually the studios that had a few more days total open during the month than 1BRs or dedicated 2BRs. Chances were a little better the first week or so than thereafter but waitlist would still have been needed.
