I am planning on renting an EVC from an off site company for my trip - the cart will be picked up and dropped off at the hotel but do you think that when it is broken down into 4 pieces that it will fit in the trunk of an Alamo Standard size car (supposedly a Chrysler 200) - there are only 3 of us in the car so something can go in the back seat -possibly the battery if need be.

There is no standard size row at MCO, you will select from the full size row. So, you could possibly fit the EVC into a full size car, the Impala, for instance has a huge trunk. Please, don't put a battery in the pax compartment, what if it leaks? You would be held responsible for the damage.

I was just thinking the smallest thing would be the battery - but if the impala has a big trunk - I am guessing it all would fit.

I just didn't know if I could rent a larger car or if I had to get a Mid Size SUV

Your better off putting something big, like the seat in the back seat with the passenger, and the batteries and the base in the trunk.

ALl depends on how big the trunk of the car you get is.

When you shop for the ECV, ask for a travel-size one. The Pride Go-Go is very easy to break down and reassemble, and is available from some rental companies.

As a PP said, you should be able to fit everything in the trunk except possibly the seat, which is the bulkiest piece. It takes up about half of the rear seat in the car, if you have to store it there.

The Impala has an 18+cf trunk. I used to joke and tell people they could stash a couple of bodies in there. :) I have seen people break down the ECVs and put them in those trunks, along with some luggage. The mid size SUV is an option, but, I would think it might be difficult for the person using the ECV to get in and out, they tend to be a bit higher to step into.
Just a FYI, if there are no Impala's available, ask for one, they will bring you one If they are available (which they should be since they have a kajillion of them.).

Thanks everyone - I rented an Full size - which according to Alamo is an Impala.

You can change your rental to a standard, if its cheaper. Standard and full are the same in Orlando.

Also, don't get hung up on specific models. Alamo usually has a variety of cars in the Fullsize row. I have seen Impalas, but there's no guarantee that's what you'll get. You'll just have to judge when its time to pick something out. Sometimes there's even suv's or minivans in the fullsize row. You just never know.

I can fit an ECV into the trunk of a Prius, all pieces. If I put the back seat down I can fit in two ECV's. You won't have a problem.

We rent an ECV and once it is taken apart all the pieces will fit in the car's trunk. We had rented a Malibu and it fit fine.
